GloRilla, born Gloria Hallelujah Woods, "voluntarily turned herself in to the Forsyth County Jail" on July 22, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The superstar rapper's arrest, however, is sparking outrage among fans, considering she was charged after someone called the police to her own home to address "a burglary in progress."

"It was reported that three suspects had entered the home and were in the process of stealing items when an armed occupant fired at the intruders," a statement from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office read. "The suspects fled the scene, and it does not appear that any of them were struck. No injuries were reported among the home’s occupants."

"As a result, the Lanier Regional Drug Task Force was contacted and responded to the residence," the statement continued.

Later, police obtained a search warrant, where they found "a significant amount of marijuana" in GloRilla's bedroom closet, resulting in her being charged with "Felony Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a schedule one controlled substance."

GloRilla turned herself in and was later released on a $22,260 bond, per PEOPLE.

Glo Has Been Arrested Before

According to another report from PEOPLE, GloRilla was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possessing an open container of alcohol, and failure to obey a traffic control device in April 2024.

Per the police report, the "Wanna Be" rapper was pulled over by a police officer who "immediately noticed her eyes to be watery and bloodshot."

The officer also noted that they smelled marijuana in her car and alcohol on her breath.

GloRilla reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol earlier during the night, and during her conversation with the officer, they "noticed that [GloRilla's] sentences were not always making sense."

GloRilla was later arrested and booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center, where she received the charges mentioned above before posting her nearly $2,000 bond.
