Britney Spears Saddles Up For Horseback Riding In L.A. Sunshine

Britney Spears today looked blissfully happy as she got back in the saddle and trotted around on horseback. The 39-year-old pop icon, this year plagued by both her conservatorship battles and the multiple documentaries released about her, made her Thursday Instagram update an upbeat one. Posting for her 30 million followers, the "Toxic" singer reminded fans that riding is her "favorite" pastime, and fans were beyond relieved to see the blonde happy and enjoying life. Britney, whose Instagram has largely been documenting her legendary home dance sessions and recent pink hair debut, had posted with rare footage.The Grammy winner, shot amid blue skies and in L.A., was seen confidently riding a brown-and-white horse, wearing a short-sleeved white shirt and riding pants, plus sturdy boots.

Spears was only briefly seen riding, with the camera then showing her leading the horse away after having dismounted. Fans saw a knotted shirt, here - cropped is, of course, Britney's trademark.

Taking to her caption, Britney wrote: "Riding is my favorite thing to do" as she added three heart emoji. The mom of two had made 2020 headlines for seeing fans think she looked her happiest on a riding session with 27-year-old boyfriend Sam Asghari.

"Impressive. Very unusual," one fan replied. "Ride 'em cowgirl!" another replied. Britney's fanbase, forming the #FreeBritney movement, has largely been tormenting the singer over allegations that she isn't in control of her Instagram. More photos after the video.

Britney, this month gearing up to speak in court as she battles 68-year-old father Jamie Spears, has been making headlines for switching it up on the 'Gram, last month debuting pink hair in a series of catsuit posts as she shouted out other celebrities.

"No this is not a hair commercial ??‍♀️ … it’s the first time I’ve colored all of my hair a bright color so f-ck it … I did as many hair flips that I could ??? !!!! Pink is hot if I do say so myself," she told fans. Skip the jump for more snaps.

Seen below, an image landing on Britney's Instagram at the end of May brought her opening up on motherhood. Spears welcomed teenage sons Jayden and Sean in her early twenties.

Posting a pool throwback featuring her then-young sons, Britney wrote:"I had my babies very young … at all the pools we went to on tours, all the babies flocked to me because I always brought the most toys ??? … I really am a baby mamma ??? !!!!"
