Katy Perry suffered a bit of a mishap last summer when she and then-fiance Orlando Bloom enjoyed a luxurious Italy vacation. Hitting the ocean as she was spotted on the Amalfi Coast in August 2024, the singer showed off her slimmed-down figure in swimwear, although she made the most headlines for the moment her two-piece nearly fell apart. Katy, 40, had the paparazzi watching her every move, and the cameras also caught the moment she had to adjust her bikini top to stay safe. The pop star has since made summer 2025 headlines for her shock split from Orlando, 48. The couple was together for nine years and engaged for seven.

Going 100% makeup-free while displaying her toned shoulders, Katy was photographed chest-deep in the ocean, wearing goggles atop her head and not much else. The mom of one had already shown off her dark green, bandeau bikini in photos taken on land, but fans barely saw her swimwear in the ocean snap showing her struggling to remain contained.

Using both hands to grab her strapless bikini top, Katy did her best to keep her bikini from floating away. The American Idol alum, who wore gold hoop earrings, also didn't look particularly comfortable during this moment, and fans sided with her. When the image was posted on social media platform X, one fan said: "Bit stalkery and pervy."

The photos had been published by The Daily Mail, also including Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando. Katy and Orlando share daughter Daisy Dove, born in 2020. "So creepy, just let them enjoy their holiday in peace!" one fan replied as the outlet's comments section filled up.
