Meghan Markle Reportedly Has A Role In Prince Harry's Reconciliation Quest

Meghan Markle is all for her husband mending fences with his family members.

The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly pulling strings behind the scenes to make sure Prince Harry remains happy and on good terms with the royal family, five years after their exit from the U.K.

Last week marked a turning point in the ongoing tension between Prince Harry and King Charles, as aides to both royals reportedly held a secret meeting to discuss how to move the duo forward.

Meghan did not start her journey with Charles on a bad note; in fact, Harry recalls the king getting extremely excited whenever Meghan was around, where they would discuss music and more.

The bond between them was evident when he offered to walk her down the aisle for their 2018 wedding; an event that former royal correspondent Jennie Bond is positive has set a good tone for peace between the father and child.

On the other hand, Meghan also deeply cares about Harry's happiness, and she will absolutely support his decision to reconcile with Charles when the time is right.

She reportedly even sends the king videos of Archie and Lilibet before everything turned left between the father and son, and it would be nice for Charles to meet them in flesh.

According to RadarOnline, Bond noted that the king had already missed out on a significant portion of Archie and Lilibet's childhood, and catching up would do a great deal of good.

On this, Bond is certain that the world is Meghan's oyster, and the fact that the King and Harry are on good terms again has no adverse effect on her brand and business.

It is no secret that as soon as the couple dropped their working royal tag, they began searching for greener pastures overseas, including signing a multi-million-dollar Netflix deal, writing a book, among others.

As it stands, Bond noted that Meghan is not doing anything commercially "distasteful or problematic," which is a green flag for her brand. She and Charles even share a similarity in that aspect, too, as he also sells a jam collection and more products for charity.

Bond's final verdict so far is that the actress does not say or do anything damaging to the public image of the royal family; the coast is clear for her to go as far as she wants.

Aside from their aides' meeting and all other underground efforts by people close to the parties to make peace, Harry himself took a bold step towards settlement last year.

The younger royal reportedly flew all the way to the United Kingdom to see his father when news of his cancer diagnosis broke in February 2024. As reported by The Blast, unfortunately, he was granted only half an hour to speak with the king.

Since the king's cancer diagnosis became public, Harry has reportedly grown a soft spot for him with a clear understanding that if the king passes away today, the guilt would most likely eat him up.

But ultimately, making a headway requires Harry's full cooperation and humility to recognize his errors and appease Charles.

Despite these intensified talks for peace, the couple still has no plans to make the U.K. their forever home. They are reportedly happy and content with life in Montecito, California, with their two children and famous friends.

As The Daily Mail noted, the couple has built a community in California around their $29 million home, where Meghan runs her "As Ever" brand, which produces a wide range of home and lifestyle goods.

When Harry and Meghan left the United Kingdom, they had promised to shuttle between their home country and Canada, where they initially stayed. Still, that idea became nearly impossible as time went on.

Now, they have shut the door permanently on a move to the U.K., as Harry does not mind coming down for charity causes without Meghan's company, of course.

Moreover, the prince had voiced his concern about his family's safety since his security was withdrawn by the Ravec committee, which further makes the idea of homecoming a dead end.

While the future looks promising between father and son, that cannot be said for Prince Harry and his big brother, Prince William. A source close to the palace claimed that fixing the severed bond between the brothers would be the most tedious of all.

The fate of Meghan and Harry becomes even more endangered when William becomes king, as he might strip them of their royal titles. Temperament-wise, Charles reportedly edges out his first son, who has no room for much forgiveness in his heart.

While the king did not consider stripping them of their titles due to fear of criticism from mainstream media, William reportedly has no care for such concerns.

"Behind the scenes, people are saying that the royals have quietly sanctioned the title removal – if Harry and Meghan step out of line again," a source affirmed.

While the removal of their titles would be a lengthy process, plans have already been made by the palace to make sure the idea becomes a reality if the couple sends the wrong signal.
