Elon Musk may have all the money and influence in the world, yet he remains unable to fulfill some of his desires, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.
A new book delves into his past romance with Amber Heard and how he was dumped by the actress several years ago.
It also details the fallout between the duo and how Amber Heard's romance with Elon Musk helped "slow the advancement of electric cars."
Elon Musk And Amber Heard's Brief Romance

A new bombshell book, "Hollywood Vampires: Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, and the Celebrity Exploitation Machine," is shedding light on the broken marriage of former Hollywood power couple Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.
It has also revealed details about how the "Aquaman" actress allegedly broke Elon Musk's heart about a decade ago.
At the time, Heard was married to Depp, but they appeared to be experiencing problems in their relationship, with eyewitnesses reporting that they saw the then-couple engaging in heated disagreements.
Things eventually got so bad that a restraining order was issued against Depp in May 2016, suggesting their romance was in shambles.
However, just around that time, the actress received a large plant delivery to her L.A. home with a note that read, "I had a wonderful weekend with you – E," per the Daily Mail.
In fact, the concierge gave a sworn testimony in court claiming that the SpaceX boss had his own key to the penthouse garage and had been visiting Heard late at night for over a year when Depp wasn't around.
Amber Heard And Elon Musk's Relationship Became 'Toxic'

Things blossomed rapidly between Heard and Musk, and in June that year, she surprised him with wildflowers when she flew to the Tesla factory in Fremont, California, to celebrate his birthday.
By mid-July, they were seen together in Miami alongside Heard's sister Whitney, and the trio enjoyed a luxury stay at the Delano Hotel in South Beach.
Musk then flew the sisters to Cape Canaveral, where a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch was scheduled to take place.
However, things were not as they seemed behind the scenes, as reports claim their romance was a toxic one plagued by fighting, jealousy, and dramatic accusations.
Musk himself previously commented on the relationship, describing it as the most agonizing of all his romantic relationships.
"It was brutal," he said, per the Daily Mail.
The Former Couple's Blowout Fight That Ended Their Whirlwind Romance

Despite their on-again, off-again relationship, Heard and Musk managed to keep things going until late 2017, when they had a fight that ultimately ended their relationship.
The actress reportedly locked herself in her hotel room and began yelling at the top of her voice that the billionaire had seized her passport and that she feared she would be attacked.
In an attempt to calm the situation, Musk's sister-in-law, who is said to have also been on the trip, along with the hotel security guards, assured Heard that she was safe and that her passport was in her bag.
Seemingly referencing this incident, Musk's brother, Kimbal, labeled Heard a "very good actress, adding, "she will say things that you're like 'Wow, maybe she's telling you the truth,' but she isn't."
When they eventually broke up, Heard reportedly sent a message to her agent, Christian Carino, stating that she was "dealing with breakup. I hate when things go public. See, I'm so sad."
"You weren't in love with [Elon]," Carino responded. "You told me 1,000 times you were just filling space. Why would you be sad if you weren't in love with him to begin with?'
Elon Musk Admitted The Breakup 'Hurt Bad'

According to the news outlet, Musk's circle became increasingly concerned about the way his relationship with Heard seemed to affect his focus at the time.
"It would be a Tuesday night, and she would keep him up all night. There was a blatant disregard for the fact he had tens of thousands of employees and he had responsibilities," an insider shared. "She did more to slow the advancement of electric cars than the CEO of Exxon Mobil."
In a later interview with Rolling Stone, Musk admitted that he was going through emotional turmoil as he and Heard had just broken up, saying he "was really in love and it hurt bad."
"I've been in severe emotional pain for the last few weeks. Severe. It took every ounce of will to be able to do the Model 3 event and not look like the most depressed guy around," he said.
Musk added, "For most of that day, I was morbid. And then I had to psych myself up: drink a couple of Red Bulls, hang out with positive people, and then tell myself, 'I have all these people depending on me. All right, do it!'"
Amber Heard Welcomed Twins Recently, Sparking Rumors That Elon Musk May Be The Father

Although the Tesla boss has described their romance as "mind-bogglingly painful," he has also maintained that they remained friends even after breaking up.
So when Heard announced that she'd welcomed twins purportedly via a surrogate, and that she was "elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of a family I've strived to build for years," she sent fans into a frenzy with speculations that Musk is the father.
According to the Daily Mail, reports earlier claimed that Musk and Heard created and froze some embryos during their 18-month romance before they both dragged themselves into a court battle over it.
The embryo speculations could have been instigated by a statement from Jennifer Howell, a colleague of Heard's sister Whitney.
During the "Pineapple Express" actress's libel case against Depp, Howell filed a statement in court saying: "Whitney told me.... [Amber] was in a legal battle with him [Musk]over the rights to embryos they had created together. He wanted to destroy them, and Amber tried to keep them to have a baby."
Heard has been living in Spain since her very public court battle with Depp in 2023. The country doesn't support surrogacy and "renunciation contracts" where a biological mother signs off to give up babies they'd birthed remains illegal.
However, she remains a U.S. citizen and could possibly have arranged for the surrogacy to take place in the country.
