Kylie Jenner Dines At Family-Run Greek Restaurant, Owners Call It An 'Honor'

A family-run restaurant in the quaint Greek village of Fiscardo is facing unexpected backlash online after revealing that Kylie Jenner recently dined there.

On July 12, Jenner visited Tassia Restaurant, a decades-old eatery perched along Kefalonia's Ionian coast, renowned for its traditional home-style Greek cooking and fresh ingredients, many of which are sourced directly from the owners' garden or local producers.

Shortly after her visit, owners Polychronis Dendrinos and Tassia Dendrinou took to Instagram, calling it a "true honor" to host the reality star and entrepreneur.

In the caption, they described Jenner as a "global icon" and "one of the most influential women of her generation.

Instead of enjoying a surge of interest from Jenner's visit, the restaurant owners were met with a wave of online backlash for publicly celebrating her.

One Instagram user questioned, "Honour? Why different from any other guest?" Another scoffed, "An honour… why? Has she found the cure for cancer or ended world hunger?"

A third added, "My advice, honour people who actually do something valuable and meaningful, not vacuous celebs."

Even harsher criticism came from a user who wrote, "I think Greece doesn't need any more plastic," while another said, "Honor lol… as if she were an important figure for humanity."

As the post gained traction, some fans came to Jenner and the restaurant's defense.

One supporter commented, "People who are getting mad at this need to touch grass."

Another added: "People are just so jealous. This comment section is so negative. If I had Kylie come visit my restaurant, I would post about it too."

A third noted, "Haters don't realize they're pushing this post out into the algorithm, which means more viewers and potentially more clients for this restaurant. Keep doing what y'all do best, Karens."

Despite the backlash, Jenner continued her summer getaway in Kefalonia, Greece, where she and her best friend, Karanikolaou, relaxed on a yacht and sipped cocktails.

Missing from this part of her trip was her boyfriend of two years, Timothée Chalamet, who is preparing to reprise his role as Emperor Paul "Muad'Dib" Atreides in "Dune: Messiah," set to begin filming later this month.

Jenner's European tour began in late June when she attended the extravagant $56 million wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez in Venice.

After the wedding, Jenner reunited with Chalamet in Saint-Tropez, where they were seen holding hands.

"They hadn't seen each other since before the wedding, so Kylie was really excited when he arrived in France," a source told People Magazine. "They only have a few days together before he starts filming in Prague, but they're used to this kind of schedule."

Earlier this year, Jenner and Chalamet took a step further in their relationship when they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 70th annual David di Donatello Awards in Rome on May 7.

For their debut, the couple, who have been romantically linked since 2023, coordinated in matching all-black ensembles for the event.

Chalamet opted for a sleek velvet suit adorned with a boutonniere, while the Kylie Cosmetics founder turned heads in a figure-hugging, embossed dress with a plunging neckline from Schiaparelli's Fall/Winter 2025 collection.

Before this appearance, the couple had mainly kept their relationship low-key at major public events.

Although Jenner accompanied Chalamet to several high-profile awards shows, including the Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and Oscars, they hadn't officially walked a red carpet together until the Rome ceremony in May.
