Thousands of fans flocked to the desert for the first public concert in Las Vegas since the COVID-19 pandemic brought the bustling town to a grinding halt, and the EDM event has established that Sin City is officially back in action.
Deadmau5 headlined the Insomniac Concert Series last weekend at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center and welcomed 10,000 fans who jammed out to the electronic beats and fantastical light shows.
DLVEC owner, Derek Stevens, who also owns the nearby Circa Resort & Casino, made it clear that it was time to "Bring Vegas back to life," and spearheaded the concert, which made sure that everyone was able to party in a safe environment.

The concert marks the first large-scale gathering in Las Vegas since 2020, when everything shut down. Back in June, Las Vegas lifted all restrictions associated with coronavirus, allowing local casinos to resume operations at 100% and nixing the wearing of facemasks indoors for those who have been vaccinated.
The concert at DLVEC did come with some safety precautions in place, as attendees were to provide proof of at least one vaccine dose OR a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken no more than 48 hours prior to the show.

Along with deadmau5, other EDM acts to perform at the Insomniac Concert Series included Nero and No Manas.
The venue was jam-packed and did not appear to have any major incidents, which hopefully serves as a positive sign for more concerts and gatherings in the U.S.A. as people are able to return to a normal way of life.
