Two "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alums are standing by Denise Richards amid her shocking separation from Aaron Phypers.

Teddi Mellencamp and Erika Jayne did not hide their disappointment in their pal's former beau, slamming him in a recent episode of their podcast. They implied that Phypers wasn't a good man, especially for the demands listed in his divorce filing.

Aaron Phypers filed to end his nearly six-year marriage to Denise Richards days earlier. He cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split and requested a hefty spousal support fee, which his former partner's friends saw as a gold-digger move.

Mellencamp and Jayne shared their thoughts on Richards' separation from Phypers on the latest episode of their "Two Ts in a Pod" podcast. The clip shared on YouTube captured the pair ripping their pal's estranged husband apart for his July 7 divorce filing.

The hosts revealed Phypers was their least "favorite person," noting that he was after Richards' wealth with his spousal support request. They agreed that he needed to leave their friend alone, with Mellencamp declaring:

"You're gross, douchelord. Sorry. Very few men do I despise as much as that guy. He's easy to despise."

Mellencamp and Jayne also found Phypers distasteful for claiming he and Richards did not have any children together despite having a years-long bond with Richards' adopted daughter, Eloise. They suspected Phypers refused to acknowledge the child as his to escape child support payments.

Mellencamp and Jayne's support for Richards follows recent reports about their pal's toxic marriage. The Blast covered the story, reporting that a source claimed Richards and Phypers' union ended after a heated fight during the Fourth of July weekend.

They noted the explosive argument was the final straw for the former couple, who had been fighting back and forth for months. The source stated the pair were basically like "f-ck you," and Phypers stormed off to file for the end of their marriage, listing their separation date as July 4.

As for how Richards felt about the end of her second marriage, the insider shared, "Denise is both devastated and relieved at the same time. She is mentally exhausted from the fighting, and she is glad that's over." However, they added that the TV personality was gearing up to battle her ex in court.

According to the source, Richards knew she needed to be prepared for a legal warfare because Phypers allegedly declared he wouldn't go quietly. He kept his word by asking the court to grant him spousal support to cover his lifestyle.

Phypers claimed he needed $105,000 monthly, noting Richards could afford it as she reportedly made $250,000 monthly from a combination of business ventures. Additionally, he asked for the equal distribution of the couple's production company, Smoke & Mirrors Entertainment.

Richards' friends were allegedly not surprised by Phypers' demands, claiming she had always been the breadwinner in their relationship. "Their marriage was based on the philosophy of 'She earns and he spends,'" a source declared. 

The end of Richards' marriage won't be captured on her reality TV show, "Denise Richards and Her Wild Things," as it was created to be a limited-run series. While there won't be a new season, The Blast shared that fans could still learn more about Richards' divorce.

The "Wild Things" actress shall rejoin the "RHOBH" franchise for a cameo or two in its latest season, according to sources. They claimed Bravo had invited Richards to make a surprise comeback after five years. She previously starred on the Housewives show for two seasons before her 2020 departure.

Richards, per insiders, would discuss her life with a cast member on the series and presumably dive into the behind-the-scenes details about her separation from Phypers. The entertainer's breakup from her longtime spouse comes months after she declared there was no divorce in her future.

During the premiere of her reality TV show earlier this year, Richards reflected on her first marriage and divorce from actor Charlie Sheen. She dived into the pain of their breakup while driving with her pal Camille Grammer.

Richards claimed going through divorce once was good enough for her and declared she wouldn't go down that path again. She echoed similar sentiments in the episode's confessional, confessing that she knew it wasn't easy being in a relationship with her.

Phypers agreed that Richards wasn't the easiest person to be married to; however, he claimed he wouldn't end their union. His then-partner shared the same view, per PEOPLE, saying: "Yeah, I'm never getting divorced again. Even if we hate each other, I'm not gonna f-cking get divorced."
