Kim Kardashian Revisits Claims Of Forgetting Daughter North West In Paris Hotel

Kim Kardashian is out here standing on business for a decade-old claim about her child!

The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" alum is once again addressing a viral moment in Paris that raised thousands of speculations about her parenting towards her first child, North West.

Kim Kardashian welcomed the 12-year-old with rapper Kanye 'Ye' West in 2013, a year before their Italian wedding in 2014. The star shares four kids in total with the Chicago-born music producer and Yeezy founder.

The mogul got on her Instagram Story to provide a brief context for the 2014 incident where she walked out of a building without North on her arm.

Upon getting to her vehicle, the star made a U-turn into the building and re-emerged with North while making her way through camera flashes. Responding to a fan page that shared the clip, Kim reposted the video with a caption that read:

"I wanted to show the look off before holding her bc her outfit didn't match mine! I didn't forget her!!!"

This account differs slightly from the one the star shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) in 2014, where she stated that she "went to the car to make sure the car seat was in because the day before we had a car seat issue."

According to the Los Angeles Times, Kim clowned the critics for thinking she would leave a "1 year old" behind in a hotel lobby all by herself, adding: "Oh wait she was waiting to check out lol."

Kim's love for her kids is loud, and there is no debating that she would never treat them with less importance. The entrepreneur took a minute to shower her baby with love on Instagram on her 12th birthday.

She shared a post featuring 12 images of herself and the child star over the years, including adorable pictures of her as a kid.

"My little baby North turns 12 years old today. We were looking at pics today together and laughing so hard, you were so small," Kim began. The mogul described parenting North as one of the "most special calling" in love, emphasizing her love for the musician.

Her grandmother and momager, Kris Jenner, was also on deck to show lots of love to her granddaughter with a carousel of lovely photographs.

At just 12, North can boast of an impressive resume rich enough to confer her the title of a rising star in Hollywood. She has leveraged the popularity of her parents and their elite circle to star in movies and musical projects.

She recently appeared in FKA Twigs' music video for "Childlike Things" and as a voice artist for a character in "PAW Patrol: Mighty Movie" alongside her mother.

North is also working on the "Elementary School Dropout" album, which is in honor of her father's "College Dropout" album; a significant project in his iconic rap career.

She also reportedly has "18% more popularity than all of her family members." A fact Kim found playful threatening as she stated, "North, you're not gonna take me down."

In May, Kim arrived at a courthouse in Paris to testify against the men who robbed her at gunpoint in the City of Light. Her mom, Kris Jenner, accompanied her as they stole a few shots with the paparazzi before heading in for the hearing.

Kim served high fashion in a vintage John Galliano blazer dress paired with Saint Laurent slingbacks and Alaïa sunglasses. She topped off the look with a statement necklace by Samer Halimeh New York, diamond earrings, including a Briony Raymond ear cuff worth $8,500, and a massive rock on her finger.

The total estimate of her jewelry was about $1.5 million, a sharp detour from the modest life she famously adopted since the robbers stormed her suite at the Hôtel de Pourtalès during Paris Fashion Week over a decade ago.

Kim's trip to Paris in 2025 was no short of eventful as she showed up on Balenciaga's runway during Paris 2025 Fashion Week in support of her pal and Balenciaga's creative director, Demna Gvasalia.

As shared by The Blast, the show was Demna's last for the brand, and Kim was dressed to honor Elizabeth Taylor in an outfit with a similar design to the actress' dress in the movie "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof."
