Rosie O’Donnell isn’t backing down.
Just hours after Donald Trump took to Truth Social to call the comedian a “threat to humanity” and claimed he was considering revoking her U.S. citizenship, despite having no legal authority to do so, O’Donnell has issued another searing response.
In a new social media post, Rosie O’Donnell addressed Trump directly, mocking his obsession with her and defending her decision to move to Ireland.
Rosie O’Donnell Fires Back At Trump

“Hey Donald, you’re rattled again,” she began. “18 years later and I still live rent-free in that collapsing head of yours.”
The outspoken actress then laid into the president’s attempt to discredit her, saying, “You call me a threat to humanity, but I’m everything you fear. A loud woman, a queer woman, a mother who tells the truth, an American who got out when the country caught fire.”
She continued, “You build walls, I build a life for my autistic kid [in a] country where decency still exists.”
Trump Calls For O’Donnell To Stay In Ireland

The renewed feud comes after Trump lashed out at O’Donnell in a dramatic Truth Social post on Saturday, saying she should “remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her,” and added, “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
Legal scholars were quick to shoot down Trump’s remarks, noting that under the 14th Amendment, O’Donnell, who was born in New York, cannot be stripped of her citizenship.
His statement, though baseless, sparked widespread backlash and reignited longstanding tensions between the two public figures.
Rosie O'Donnell Calls Trump A ‘Disgrace’ And ‘Danger To The Nation’

This isn't the first time O'Donnell responded to Trump's threat. Just moments after his Truth Social post, she took to social media to clap back.
“The potus ladies n gentlemen is a disgrace to all our beautiful country stands for. He is a danger to the nation. A mentally ill untreated criminal who lied to America for a decade on 'The Apprentice,' thanks Mark Burnett, and you fell for it. It’s so tragic,” she said.
Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump have been locked in a high-profile feud for nearly twenty years, a clash that has evolved from celebrity sniping to full-blown political warfare.
Inside Rosie O'Donnell And Donald Trump’s Explosive Feud That Started On 'The View'

The tension first ignited in 2006 during O’Donnell’s tenure on "The View," when she publicly criticized Trump for allowing then-Miss USA Tara Conner to retain her crown amid scandal.
O’Donnell questioned Trump’s moral authority, pointing to his past infidelities and calling him out live on air.
Trump swiftly retaliated, telling PEOPLE that O’Donnell was “a woman out of control,” kicking off a years-long exchange of barbs that played out across interviews, headlines, and later, social media.
The animosity between O’Donnell and Trump only deepened over the years, often playing out publicly on X (formerly Twitter).
Rosie O’Donnell Reflects On Trump’s Online Harassment

In 2011, shortly after O'Donnell announced her engagement to Michelle Rounds, Trump took to the platform to insult her once again, writing that he felt "sorry" for Rounds’ parents and branding O’Donnell a "loser," a slur he’s repeatedly used against her.
Years later, he reignited the feud by mocking O’Donnell after she spoke candidly about her weight loss journey. In another post on X, Trump criticized her for being “not politically correct,” continuing his long-standing pattern of targeting her appearance and personal life.
Reflecting on the ongoing attacks, O’Donnell told PEOPLE that the harassment took a serious emotional toll. “Probably the Trump stuff was the most bullying I ever experienced in my life, including as a child,” she admitted. “It was national, and it was sanctioned societally. Whether I deserved it is up to your own interpretation.”
