G Flip isn’t holding back regarding their true feelings about “Selling Sunset.” Despite appearing on the flashy Netflix reality show alongside their partner, Chrishell Stause, the Australian musician recently admitted that they found the show “quite uncomfortable.”
While fans might assume their connection to Stause would make the experience more enjoyable, G Flip revealed that a lack of authenticity and constantly being filmed by cameras amplified the awkwardness.
Now, they are opening up about why the glitzy real estate drama doesn’t sit right, even with love in the mix.
G Flip Explains Why She’s Uncomfortable With Appearing On 'Selling Sunset'

G Flip is undoubtedly in love with Chrishell Stause, but their partner’s presence on “Selling Sunset” doesn’t make the show less uncomfortable for them.
Recently, G Flip spoke to Us Weekly about being on a reality TV show with their partner following their appearance on “Selling Sunset.”
“We’ve never thought about [starring on a reality show together]. I don’t think that’s something we want to do right now. But maybe down the road,” they told the outlet.
The 31-year-old explained why the show didn’t sit right with them despite appearing in it with Stause.
“It’s not natural and you don’t find it natural. Chrishell and everyone on Selling Sunset are such guns at it. But [for me] sitting in a room and being asked to have a normal conversation while there’s eight cameras around and lighting, I found it really, really tough,” G Flip shared.
G Flip Highlights The Emotional Toll Of Reality TV On Chrishell Stause

The singer revealed what it would take for them to appear in a reality TV series with their partner.
“I would want to make sure it didn’t feel so tough to be myself because I’ve got to feel comfortable to then put my life and me and Chrishell’s love and our story out there,” they said.
Besides the omnipresence of cameras, G Flip recalled Stause’s experiences, highlighting the emotional downsides of having one’s life constantly broadcast.
“She comes home and I’m always there to lift her spirits back up because she’ll come home and be like, ‘Oh my God, you’re not going to believe what’s happened,” they explained.
G Flip described the show as a “stressful” environment, noting that they had to be supportive and help the actress navigate the emotional challenges of filming.
Chrishell Stause Supports G Flip’s Career

Stause is also as supportive as G Flip, especially toward the latter’s music career. The “Killing My Time” crooner revealed that Stause is always the first to hear their new music.
“She’ll be like, ‘That one’s good. You need to finish that one,’” they shared, noting how strongly the television personality championed certain tracks.
In fact, G Flip said Stause once joked, “How much can I buy it for? I can release it myself,” showing how passionately she would get involved.
Reflecting on their partner’s support during the release of “Big Ol’ Hammer,” G Flip recalled Stause cheering and watching on a little screen. “She was so cute,” they said.
According to G Flip, the 43-year-old brought everyone food, drinks, tequila, chicken, and chips. “She’s such an angel of a human being,” the songwriter gushed.
Chrishell Stause Gushes About Her Marriage To G Flip

More than anything, both G Flip and Stause are grateful to be married to each other.
In a 2023 chat with Extra, Stause raved about their union, equating their dynamic to having a “superpower.”
“Just really feeling like I have that mix of my best friend, my partner, just a person I can literally do or say anything to. We just basically build each other up, and it feels like a superpower, so I’m a softie and a lovebug.” Stause noted.
She added, “We’re so good… G is just finishing their tour in Australia right now, and I’m anxiously waiting for them to return to the U.S. to start their tour here.”
Stause Embarks On IVF Journey Amid Infertility

Meanwhile, Chrishell Stause and G Flip are hoping to enter the next phase in their marriage soon.
On June 19, the “Selling Sunset” star took to her Instagram stories to announce that she’s embarking on another round of IVF, despite their infertility struggles.
“Back on the IVF hell train. I think this may be my last attempt,” she wrote.
Stause acknowledged the emotional and physical toll, remarking, “There are other alternatives, but this route needed to be tried first because of timing. So if it’s meant to be it will be. If not, pivot.”
The reality TV star also expressed heartfelt gratitude for her fans’ encouragement.
“Live footage of me reading all the beautiful supportive messages … THANK YOU,” she wrote over a tearful “Twin Peaks” still character.
