Nicki Minaj Praises Fans As 'Beam Me Up Scotty' Mixtape Makes History

Almost two weeks ago, Nicki Minaj made a triumphant return to music after taking a two-month social media hiatus. This coincided with the rerelease of her 2009 debut "Beam Me Up Scotty" mixtape. The mixtape included all of the original tracks along with new ones such as the highly anticipated "Fractions" single as well as "Seeing Green," featuring Drake and Lil Wayne. Those three superstars started dominating together in 2009 at Wayne's Young Money record label, and the rest was history.

Upon Nicki releasing "Beam Me Up Scotty," it had a very solid first week debut on the Billboard 200 chart, where it landed at number two. The top spot was held by J. Cole and his new album "The Off-Season." "Beam Me Up Scotty" received very positive reviews by fans online for providing so much nostalgia along with the energy on the new songs added. Now Nicki is showing love fans after "Beam Me Up Scotty" just made history again.

Nicki's "Beam Me Up Scotty" mixtape is now the highest-charting rereleased mixtape in hip-hop history. Nicki took to Instagram to express her appreciation for the fans and detailed how she went about creating some of the songs on this project.

As stated by Nicki in this latest Instagram post, her fifth studio album is being worked on. An official release date or title hasn't been publicly announced by her yet but the anticipation is sky-high as Nicki hasn't put out an album since August 2018. That was her "Queen" project, which went on to debut at number two on the Billboard 200 and is platinum in the US. In 2021, Nicki has the potential to score her third number one album.

Nicki is back to dominating with her music as usual. At the same time, she has been showing off various outfits on Instagram over the last few weeks that have caught the attention of millions of her social media followers. When Nicki broke her social media hiatus two weeks ago, she was seen in a pair of pink Crocs, which had the Internet going crazy as the demand skyrocketed. She also went on to show off a pink Richard Mille watch along with a custom pair of black Chanel Crocs.
