Kelly Clarkson All Smiles After "Inappropriate" Dress Backlash

Kelly Clarkson seemingly has no time for haters, this as the 38-year-old makes headlines for seeing her plunging red dress deemed not "appropriate" for family-friendly TV. The singer, talk show host, and reality judge wound up in the news for seeing eyebrows raised over her Dolce & Gabbana gown on "The Voice," with users on Twitter lashing out and even telling her to "put a shirt on." Kelly had opted for a $5,300 fluid red dress for the first night of the finale. She also hasn't let the trolls get to her. Check it out below.
Scroll for the dress. Kelly, whose designer looks have been big-time upped over both "The Voice" and "The Kelly Clarkson Show," had opted for one of Italy's finest and best-known designers. The star was stylishly outfitted in a pillar box red and low-cut ripple gown from D&G, also wearing a gold Yves Saint Laurent necklace and showing off the 37 pounds she dropped in 2019.
Kelly sent out a giant smile and killer red lip, but the feedback didn't necessarily send a smile back.

The dress, described as a "peek-a-boo" one by The Daily Mail, brought one fan writing: "I love Kelly, but I wish she would dress more appropriately for a family show." Another swiped "Great smile," then wishing Kelly would put a "shirt on."
Many came in to flatter the "Stronger" hit-maker, but some just kept slamming. "The dress is horrendous and totally inappropriate for a family show. She has young children for whom she should be setting an example," one user replied. See her latest photo below.

Kelly was quick to bounce back from the trolls, reappearing in a new photo posted to her Instagram, where it was smiles and double trouble as she grinned with 27-year-old country singer Kelsea Ballerini. The "homecoming queen?" singer has been filling in over Kelly's 2021 absences on "The Voice," even telling contestants to "pretend" she's Kelly.
The gorgeous shot showed Kelly in red-and-white florals via a high-neck shirt, with Kelsea wearing a plunging white Grecian gown. Scroll for more photos after the jump.
Taking to her caption, Kelly wrote: "The best honorary Team Kelly coach EVER just slayed her performance!! ❤️" Ballerini had performed "Half of my Hometown."
Kelsea took over from Kelly earlier this year after Kelly announced time off sick. The March replacement, taking place during the Battle Rounds, also brought a big gush from Kelly: "Thank you so much @KelseaBallerini for sitting in for me while I was feeling under the weather! I know my team is in great hands with you!!" she wrote.
