Meghan King Supports Jim Edmonds' Relationship With Girlfriend Kortnie O'Connor

Meghan King is on board with Jim Edmonds' relationship with girlfriend Kortnie O'Connor.

Weeks after the finalization of the former couple's divorce, the ex-"Real Housewives of Orange County" cast member spoke to Us Weekly about Edmonds' romance with the realtor, admitting that she believes it is a good thing for the three children she and Edmonds share.

“I would feel that stability for my children is what I care about the most," King told the magazine on May 21 of four-year-old daughter Aspen and two-year-old twin sons Hayes and Hart.

"So any kind of long-term committed relationship that Jim is in, I fully, fully support because that’s absolutely the best for my children,” King said.

Edmonds began dating O'Connor in early 2020, just months after filing for divorce from King following just five years of marriage.

And while King has also dated in the years since she and Edmonds called it quits, she is not currently in a committed relationship.

According to King, she believes that the more love her children have, the better. 

“I was a stepmom and I’ve always been the school of thought that the more people to love children the better. And I don’t think that there’s a limited capacity for children to be able to be loved,” King explained. “It’s not like they could only be loved by mommy and daddy. I don’t think that takes away my love for them if they’re going to love somebody else. So I think it’s great.”

When asked about her own dating life, King admitted to having a recent meet-up with her one-time flame, Will Roos, who she began dating casually earlier this year.

 “I just saw Will out here in California. He’s great. He’s a super close friend of mine. … It’s fine, but I’m looking for a life partner, not … somebody to casually date,” she shared. "Let’s be honest, like, to be in a rush might not be the smartest decision. I definitely just enjoy my time and I don’t feel like I have to do anything quote unquote by the book anymore.”

King also noted that she's in no rush to remarry. 

"I feel really comfortable with who I am, where I stand and I don’t need, you know, paperwork to tell me who I love," she noted.

King appeared on "The Real Housewives of Orange County" in a full-time role from season 10 until season 12, when she and Edmonds moved to St. Louis to expand their family.
