William Shatner's overnight weight loss seems too good to be true!

The Canadian actor's sudden slim figure is raising eyebrows about whether he is now the newest inductee into the Ozempic Enthusiasts' Club.

William Shatner reportedly gained a significant amount of weight after undergoing hip replacement surgery in 2008, which left him almost immobile and without the strength for much physical exercise.

The actor's previous account of eating clean with "just fruit and tea" for dinner, which he claims is responsible for his massive weight loss, is being heavily questioned by online spectators.

Pictures from as recent as April reportedly show the actor looking noticeably plump, weighing approximately 303 pounds. He was also allegedly heard heaving heavily after a flight to New York at the same point.

Now, with his slimmed frame, people are saying the TV star may have hopped on the Ozempic trend to get him nipped and tucked. Despite the Ozempic reports, a source from Las Vegas who recently spotted the well-known actor noted that he appeared to be in much better shape this spring.

The eyewitness's account matched the explanation of a medical source who shared that the actor has made significant progress in shedding belly fat, which is notoriously difficult to lose.

The source also emphasized how fortunate Shatner is to have avoided serious health issues like heart attacks, cancer, adult diabetes, and strokes before slimming down.

Shatner explained that his transformation to an active lifestyle was partially driven by the energy required to keep up with his grandkids. He reportedly took up various activities, ranging from skating to lawn bowling.

The 94-year-old's health has undoubtedly been through a few challenges, like the personal health crisis he has managed for over 30 years. As seen on The Blast, the star detailed his reality of battling tinnitus after his time on "Star Trek."

Shatner attributed his permanent hearing loss to the consequences of a special effects explosion while filming the "Arena" episode of Star Trek.

The actor detailed in 2023 that he discovered something was wrong with his hearing during a timeout at the beach. He noted a problem with the frequency of the waves based on how his ears processed them.

"All of a sudden, I kept hearing a 'ssss' even though there was another wave coming. And that's how I discovered [I had tinnitus]," Shatner explained.

"Mine sounds like radio static and is louder sometimes than others. Can't say I've made friends with it, but I've learned how to deal," the commenter concluded.

As reported by The Blast in 2022, Shatner showcased his curious side when he teamed up with a few equally curious minds to explore a different sphere a year earlier, in 2021.

The actor joined former NASA engineer Chris Boshuizen, healthcare entrepreneur Glen de Vries, and Blue Origin executive Audrey Powers for an 11-minute space trip on Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket.

However, Shatner admitted in his book, "Boldly Go: Reflections on a Life of Awe and Wonder," that the experience did not blow his mind as he thought. He recalled witnessing the "emptiness" in space and feeling a strange sensation about it, almost in an unfamiliar manner.

"I love the mystery of the universe. All of that has thrilled me for years, but when I looked in the opposite direction, into space, there was no mystery, no majestic awe to behold. All I saw was death," Shatner stated.

He noted that he was enveloped by grief upon discovering the sharp difference between "the vicious coldness of space and the warm nurturing of Earth."

The 94-year-old's personal life has also been marked by encounters with the aisle at least four times. According to Hello Magazine, the star walked down the aisle for the first time with Canadian actress Gloria Rand in 1956. They welcomed three daughters together before their divorce in 1969.

He moved on with another actress, Marcy Lafferty, in 1973 after they met on the set of "The Andersonville Trial." The duo stayed married for over two decades till their marriage hit the rocks in 1996.

In an uncommon twist during their divorce settlement, Lafferty negotiated a deal to receive annual shipments of horse semen from three of William's prized stallions.

Shatner gave marriage another shot with Nerine Kidd in 1997. Unfortunately, her battles with alcohol addiction ended her life when she accidentally drowned in her home after ingesting a mix of alcohol and valium.

In 2001, he tied the knot for the fourth time with a horse trainer, Elizabeth Anderson Martin. They eventually divorced in 2020, but have now reunited.

Shatner revealed last year that they have "in effect remarried," but without any official ceremony. The star explained that the reasons for their divorce were many, but none of them had to do with distaste.
