Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's relationship remains a topic of intense discussion among top royal experts and insiders, six years after they tied the knot.

In a new report, insiders claim the former actress never intended to stay in the royal family and that Harry is "totally whipped" by her to see it.

This comes after a royal biographer shared that Queen Elizabeth II grew wary of Meghan Markle in the days leading up to her wedding to Prince Harry, feeling the duke was "weak about women."

Speaking during "The Royal Exclusive" show alongside The Sun's Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson and royal biographer Phil Dampier, royal commentator Esther Krakue shared her thoughts on Meghan's dynamic within the British monarchy and how both public and internal opinions of her have changed over time.

"We know that King Charles said something about him being whipped. We keep hearing things consistently coming out from courtiers and people that are close to the Royal Family," she said, suggesting Harry is heavily influenced by Meghan.

Krakue then touched on the late queen's evolving view of Meghan, aligning it with the broader public sentiment.

"The Queen's opinion of Meghan evolved, and it's much like how the country's opinion evolves," she said. "And much like the public, I think the queen thought Meghan was a breath of fresh air. Very intelligent, very well-spoken, obviously from her acting background."

She added, "And she worked, she welcomed her. I think, like much of the country, with open arms, I think where things went wrong was clearly the cultural clash."

Krakue pointed to a cultural disconnect as one of the main reasons Meghan struggled to settle into royal life.

"I think in some ways Meghan thought she was marrying a billionaire, but was marrying a millionaire with like sort of a reduced status. So that might have been not appealing eventually," she said. "But also, I just don't think she fully understood or was even interested in what the role was supposed to become."

Krakue also argued that Meghan didn't appear willing to embrace the slower, more traditional route of earning respect within the monarchy.

"She hadn't earned enough brownie points to actually be able to choose the tools she wanted to go on in the way that she wanted to do or curate her image in the same way, you know, most people would just be like, oh, you have to kind of have skin in the game," the expert explained. "You have to have, I'm sorry."

Krakue continued: "Open schools in Wales on a rainy day for a number of years before you ingratiate yourself and garner that goodwill. But I don't think she had that approach or attitude. And you could say it's very American, you know, very can-do spirit."

Reports have recently emerged suggesting that the relationship between Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry was significantly strained in the period leading up to his 2018 wedding to Meghan.

Journalist and royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith opened up about the alleged tension within the royal family, as revealed by Elizabeth's late cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, fondly known as Liza by friends.

Liza was the great-niece of the Queen Mother and a goddaughter of King George VI. Later in her life, she became a close confidante to her cousin, Elizabeth II, affectionately calling her "Jemima" and her "Number One Lady."

According to the Daily Mail, Smith shared that Liza claimed Queen Elizabeth was "very upset" with Harry, who allegedly excluded the monarch from his wedding plans. She had confided in Liza that the Duke of Sussex had been "rude to her for ten minutes" in one meeting.

Queen Elizabeth was also left worried, as Meghan was not "working well" with William and Kate, noting that it was "particularly the two girls" who didn't get along.

According to Bedell Smith's reports, Queen Elizabeth was concerned about Meghan's true intentions because she didn't believe the former "Suits" actress truly loved Harry.

As the wedding day drew closer, Meghan allegedly went from "thoughtful" to "bossy," reportedly leaving the queen "very worried."

"When we spoke two weeks before the May 19 wedding, Liza had just heard from the queen. 'The Number One Lady—I call her Jemima—says the jury is out on whether she likes Meghan,'" Smith wrote of Liza's claims.

"My Jemima is very worried. Harry is besotted and weak about women. We hope, but don't quite think she is in love. We think she engineered it all," she continued.

Liza apparently added, "It's worrying that so many people are questioning whether Meghan is right for Harry. The problem, bless his heart, is that Harry is neither bright nor strong, and she is both."

While the royal rift continues to deepen, the Duke of Sussex appears to be interested in reconciling with the monarchy.

In a raw May interview with the BBC, Harry opened up about his strained relationship with the royal family after losing his final bid for taxpayer-funded security in the UK.

"There have been so many disagreements between me and some of my family," he said, adding that he had now "forgiven" them.

He continued: "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has. He won't speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile."
