Saweetie Details Her Love Life After Quavo Breakup

Saweetie has been trending heavily on social media for songs such as "Best Friend" featuring Doja Cat and her public breakup with Migos rapper Quavo in mid-March. At the time, she took to her Twitter feed to reveal that she is officially single as she detailed how she felt hurt and betrayed.

"I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women."

In a new interview with E!'s "Nightly Pop,Saweetie discussed her post-breakup life and how she is very happy. She also detailed how making money is her "love language" right now.

"That's my love language right now.. This is for all my women out there. I just feel like after a relationship, relationships take up a lot of time. So, right now, I'm just getting back to self because perfecting my craft is my number one priority."

Saweetie also emphasized that she is in no rush to jump into another relationship. Her current mindset is that if it happens, it happens. Of course, many men have been shooting their shot in her social media DMs as well as the comments section of her Instagram feed. The question now is who will be lucky enough to earn the opportunity of actually sinking that shot.

"If, you know, if Cupid find me and shoot me then, shoot me, baby," Saweetie explained.

In late March, footage also surfaced of Saweetie and Quavo in a physical altercation over a box that appareed to be a game console. This was inside an elevator in Saweetie's apartment complex. This was soon reported to have happened in 2020. Saweetie told TMZ that this conflict was resolved but there ended up being too many other hurdles in their relationship to fix.

"This unfortunate incident happened a year ago, while we have reconciled since then and moved past this particular disagreement, there were simply too many other hurdles to overcome in our relationship and we have both since moved on."

As for Quavo, he is focused on his music as well with his Migos group. Last week, the trio released a new single titled "Straightenin." This will appear on their upcoming third studio album, "Culture III." This is the first album from Migos since January 2018, when the sequel to "Culture" was released and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It is also certified 2x platinum in the US.
