Bloom appears to be reflecting deeply after ending his long relationship with Perry. On Wednesday, the 48-year-old shared a series of Carl Jung quotes on his Instagram stories, including a post about the nature of "loneliness."

One quote read, "Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself." Another message he reposted focused on resilience and read:

"We are not what happened to us, we are what we choose to become."

The emotional posts came days after news broke that Bloom and Perry had ended their nine-year relationship, which included a six-year engagement.

Judging from his recent posts, Bloom is letting his Instagram Stories do the talking. The star has been posting a steady stream of introspective quotes since returning from a solo trip to Venice.

Before his latest on loneliness, The Blast reports that Bloom had already posted earlier messages hinting at fresh starts. One featured a quote from Buddha, which read, "Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most."

Another came from Japanese author Daisaku Ikeda, reading, "The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next."

While Bloom has not addressed the split directly, sources say his separation from Perry was a long time coming, having been rumored for months.

Behind the red carpets and Instagram smiles, Bloom and Perry's relationship was quietly coming undone. Marca reported that a source close to the couple revealed their nine-year romance had been weighed down by growing emotional distance, constant stress, and silent tensions.

What looked picture-perfect from the outside had long been cracked from within. Their demanding careers, Perry's in music, Bloom's in film, left little time to address the fractures.

The pair struggled to stay in sync, as work pulled them in different directions and unresolved issues lingered. Even their shared love for their daughter, Daisy, could not mend what had slowly unraveled.

A different person also pointed to the root of their divide, fundamentally different ways of seeing the world. Over time, their bond gave way to clashing mindsets, and the toll of fame only widened the gap.

While Bloom is engaging in introspection, his ex-partner Perry is dealing with more than heartbreak this summer. The singer has reportedly filed for a restraining order against a man she says has repeatedly shown up uninvited to her home, just as news of her split from Bloom began to unfold publicly.

In court documents filed on June 18, Perry identified 43-year-old Ross Elliott Hedrick as the person she is trying to keep away. She described him as homeless and claims he made two separate appearances at her property in May.

Though security had him arrested after the first incident, he allegedly returned just a week later. The filing also includes Bloom, whom Perry says resides with her and should also be protected.

She asked the court to order Hedrick to stay at least 100 yards away from her, Bloom, their homes, her workplace, and even her vehicle.

Katy Perry Has Dealt With Stalkers In The Past

Long before Perry's current restraining order request against a man she says showed up uninvited at her home twice this year, she faced two other serious stalking incidents.

In 2017, Perry dealt with one of her most disturbing scares when Pawel Jurski was arrested after trying to storm the stage at one of her concerts in Miami.

According to reports, he had followed her tour across multiple cities, attempting to approach her at six different shows in under three weeks. Before his arrest, he had told police, "I will do whatever it takes to be with Katy Perry."

In 2020, Perry filed for another restraining order. The man reportedly jumped the fence at her Beverly Hills home while she, Orlando Bloom, and their newborn were inside.

In her court filing, Perry described him as a stranger who had made violent threats online, including one where he allegedly talked about harming Bloom. In both previous incidents, Perry was granted protective orders.

For Orlando Bloom, the breakup has opened the door to self-reflection rather than public explanation.
