'Pump Rules' Star Lala Kent Explains Close Relationship With Lisa Vanderpump

Lala Kent has love and appreciation for her former SUR Restaurant boss and current "Vanderpump Rules" co-star, Lisa Vanderpump. 

During the May 6 episode of the "Mention It All" podcast, via Reality Tea, Kent looked back at the many moments she's shared with the former "Real Housewives of beverly Hills" cast member and admitted that Vanderpump has "always been in [her] corner.” 

Although Kent and Vanderpump have had their differences at times, Kent knows that even through her darkest times, Vanderpump always wanted the best for her.

“I feel like even when she’s brutally honest with me [she’s] taking the time and the energy to invest into someone who I believe, which is me, who she cares about. I have always felt that she cares about me and I am forever grateful for her,” Kent admitted.

Following many years of wild behavior and partying with her "Vanderpump Rules" co-stars, Kent got sober and engaged to producer Randall Emmett.

Years later, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Ocean Kent Emmett, and not surprisingly, Vanderpump has checked up on her along the way.

“Even now, she’ll call me and check up on Ocean. And we’ve FaceTimed a lot,” Kent revealed of her contact with Vanderpump in the months since Ocean's March 15 arrival.

“I have all the love in the world for Lisa Vanderpump and her family,” she added.

During an interview on E!'s "The Daily Pop," in March, Vanderpump said that she and Kent are "very close."

"In fact, she did come on 'Overserved' when she was pregnant," Vanderpump explained, giving a nod to her recently launched E! series, "Overserved With Lisa Vanderpump."

As for Vanderpump's relationships with other past and present cast members of "Pump Rules," Vanderpump admitted she hasn't been in touch with all of the new moms of the show.

"I haven't spoken to Brittany. With Scheana, I have been in contact with her and I did send flowers to Lala. But I said, 'When you are a new mommy, take a week before you want to get back to me,'" she recalled.  

"Really it's just so overwhelming and I think she's got so much attention on her right now. But yeah, she's in very good hands," Vanderpump continued.

"She's got such a supportive partner because Randall is absolutely, obsessively in love with her. So I think they're really good," Vanderpump added of Kent's fiancé.

Kent and her cast mates began filming the ninth season of "Vanderpump Rules" earlier this month and the new episodes are expected to begin airing sometime this fall.
