Mama June Shannon has come leaps and bounds from where she was a couple of years ago, and one of her daughters is recognizing the efforts with a special Mother's Day message.

21-year-old Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon took to Instagram ahead of the special day and dropped a special note for her mother, Mama June.

June is finally back on speaking terms with her family after admitting her crippling addiction to crack cocaine had driven a wedge between herself and her daughters.

The 41-year-old reality star's journey to sobriety has been documented on her series, "Mama June: Road to Redemption," and Lauryn is recognizing just how hard June has been working to stay clean and reconnect with her family.

"Happy mother day to the one who gave me life," Lauryn wrote while showing a recent photo of the family at Disney World.

She added, "Life has definitely threw us curve balls but in the end you’re still my mom. I’m so glad to see how far you’ve come in your sobriety."

Lauryn also gave Mama June a shoutout for being a grandma to her daughter, Ella.

"I can never thank you enough for being the awesome gigi you are to my beautiful babies ❤️ love you mama."

Just recently, Lauryn and her husband Joshua Efird announced they were expecting a second child.

"I think all of us, we're excited, but it's also nerve-wracking in the same sentence," the reality star told PEOPLE back in April.

She added, "We weren't really expecting. We also weren't trying either, but we weren't preventing."

Lauryn also told PEOPLE how Mama June took the news about the incoming grandchild.

"I did tell my mom about the pregnancy. At first, she's kind of like, 'Well, you don't need another one.' But she always says that. But I think that I do pretty good, as far as taking care of Ella and also managing, taking care of a 15-year-old. But she's excited."

After June was arrested for drug possession back in 2019, Lauryn became the legal guardian of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson.
