Eric Dane's Alleged Girlfriend Priya Jain 'Blindsided' By His New Romance As 'They Never Broke Up'

Eric Dane's alleged girlfriend Priya Jain was "blindsided" by his red-carpet appearance with producer Janell Shirtcliff.

Dane and Jain met last summer and became "exclusive" in November last year, but insiders say he has been in an "on-and-off relationship" with Shirtcliff.

It comes after Eric Dane announced that he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in April, but shared that he "didn't really think anything" of the symptom when it first started.

Dane set tongues wagging upon his return to the red carpet on Wednesday since being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The "Grey's Anatomy" star turned up for the L.A. premiere of his new series "Countdown" with Janell Shirtcliff, seemingly leaving his alleged girlfriend Priya Jain "blindsided."

Dane and Jain have been pictured together several times since they met last summer. According to Page Six, a source declared that they became "exclusive" late last year, with Jain spending almost every night at his house, where she has tons of clothes.

"They never broke up," a source told the news outlet.

The situation seems to be a love triangle as a separate source told Entertainment Tonight that Dane and Shirtcliff "have been in an on-and-off relationship for over three years and care deeply for each other."

"[They] care deeply for each other," the insider added. "Eric asked Janell to be there for him during this time, and she wanted to show up for him."

However, Page Six reports that Jain had never heard about the producer until now.

Dane and Shirtcliff couldn't take their eyes off each other while on the red carpet of his movie premiere.

The "Euphoria" star wore cream corduroy pants with a white knit cardigan layered over a basic white tee. He completed the look with sunglasses and white Adidas kicks.

On the other hand, Shirtcliff styled her maroon blazer minidress with shades and accessorized with a suede green Gucci purse and coordinating kitten heels.

Although he didn't address their relationship status, insiders claim the actor is "extremely close" with Shirtcliff and that they mean a lot to each other. They've seemingly grown close to each other and were also spotted on a date night at Chateau Marmont on Tuesday.

Dane has managed to keep details about his relationship status private since his 2018 divorce from his ex-wife, Rebecca Gayheart, after being married for 14 years.

He has seemingly maintained a cordial relationship with Gayheart and recently praised her for being supportive throughout his battle with ALS.

"I call Rebecca. I talk to her every day," he said, in his tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America."

He added, "We have managed to become better friends and better parents, and she is probably my biggest champion and most stalwart supporter, and I lean on her."

Meanwhile, Gayheart recently clarified that she and Dane are "staying a family" and remain the "best of friends."

"We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great co-parents," she told E! News at "The Carters: Hurts To Love You" screening in Los Angeles back in April.

The 53-year-old, who shares two daughters with the actor, Billie, and Georgia, went further to explain that she and Dane have "really figured out the formula to staying a family."

"I think our kids are benefiting greatly from it and we are as well," she said.

Dane revealed that he lost function in his right arm during his battle with ALS, sharing that the appendage "completely stopped working."

"I have one functioning arm. My dominant side, my left side, is functioning," he noted.

During his appearance on "Good Morning America" on Monday, he explained that he initially overlooked the first symptom that surfaced as a result of the condition about a year and a half ago.

"I started experiencing some weakness in my right hand, and I didn't really think anything of it at the time," the actor explained. "I thought maybe I had been texting too much or my hand was fatigued. But a few weeks later, I noticed it had gotten a little worse."

Dane added that he went from one hand specialist to another, and then to two neurologists. After nine months of doctors' appointments, he finally received his "sobering" diagnosis.

It was after that his right arm "completely stopped working."

"And then your left arm is fine?" Sawyer asked. "No, it's going," Dane replied, adding that he feels he has "a few more months" left of use of his left.

He's also "worried" about his legs going next.
