Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were freed from prison by President Donald Trump by way of a shocking pardon in late May 2025, have inspired families of other convicted criminals to hope for the same fairytale ending.

In a new report, Jay Surgent, one of the Chrisleys' family lawyers, stated that his phone and email have been inundated with requests from the families of other inmates, begging him to consider taking on their cases to help reunite them with their loved ones.

While speaking with The Post, Surgent, who was part of the Chrisleys' legal team during and after their trial, said that his business has received an influx of traffic since President Trump pardoned the convicted reality stars in May 2025.

“My business has been great,” he shared before saying he's considering taking on several new cases.

“I’m looking at eight major cases that came in from across the United States by the sheer fact that my name was mentioned many times with the Chrisleys.”

After a video of President Trump calling Savannah Chrisley surfaced online, Surgent said his phone began getting spammed with calls.

“I think I’ve got to get a new cell phone. This is ridiculous,” he quipped before adding that once his clients were freed, he began receiving “three to five hundred emails a day.”

He continued, “I could be on the phone two o’clock in the morning making phone calls for people that have literally sent me out packets saying, ‘This is my uncle’s federal case, they’re away, and please do this.'"

Although he's been bombarded with requests from different people across the United States, Surgent is thankful for the press he's gotten since working with the Chrisleys.

"It helped me," he said before adding, "[The Chrisleys] market the h-ll out of me."

“You know, I represented them. And we submitted legal work for them, and I did all that,” he explained. “But then I really believe that I turned, believe it or not, more into a publicist as opposed to an attorney," he said, referring to the several updates he provided to the media during his clients' time in prison from 2023 to mid-2025.

Elsewhere, during his conversation with The Post, Surgent downplayed the possibility of taking on all of the cases he had been presented with, adding that President Trump likely won't pardon those affiliated with gangs or people who've committed violent crimes.

“Most of the stuff is people that are unknown,” the attorney said.

Immediately after President Trump informed Savannah that she and her siblings would be reunited with their parents, the reality star took to social media to praise the politician.

“The president called me personally as I was walking at the Sam’s Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both of my parents. So both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow, and I’m freaking out,” she said in a video. “The fact that the president called me. I will forever be grateful to President Trump, his administration, and everyone along the way."

Savannah wasn't the only one sharing her positive thoughts, though. Chase Chrisley, her older brother, also posted about the 78-year-old on his Instagram, saying the Commander-in-Chief made a "remarkable decision."

"God bless you and your entire family! Continue to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!" the post's caption read.

Now that the Chrisleys have been released from federal prison, numerous reports are circulating about their long-awaited return to reality television.

According to a previous report from The Blast, producers have reached out to them about sharing their story; however, their reported price tag is too high for many companies to afford.

"What everyone has to decide is what a Chrisley show will look like. What will the angle be? That's important in deciding what the cost should be," a producer stated.

Another producer, however, shared that their company would consider giving the Chrisleys the money, but only if all parties could reach a fair and mutually beneficial agreement.

"I'll put them back on TV," the producer shared. "Because people will watch."
