Mariah Carey is getting mixed reviews as photos of her latest stage performance go viral. Earlier this week, the 56-year-old showed off her age-defying looks in a jazzy gold dress, going thigh-skimming and low-cut as she opted for her favorite skimpy finish.

Flashing her curves while turning heads for her weight loss, Mariah belted out her latest "Type Dangerous" track while at the BET Awards, but some fans were feeling that something was off.

Users criticized the Grammy winner for being "frozen" and "not present," with one user even saying that she looked "uncomfortable." Mariah has already faced backlash for her rap single's promo as she posed surrounded by shirtless male models on Instagram.

Wearing tan stockings and metallic gold platform heels with an ankle strap, Mariah kept coordinated from head to toe, completing her look with her blonde hair worn down and blow-dried straight.

Looking happy and healthy as she smiled on stage, Mariah wore matte makeup, showing off her wrinkle-free skin as she puckered up with a glossy lip. Comments quickly poured in as Just Jared shared the photos on Instagram.

"She looks so good!!" one fan replied. That said, others weren't so sure. One fan gained likes for saying: "Love her, but I don't know what is wrong with her stiffness. She seems mentally absent and not present in her performances."

Another, meanwhile, said that Mariah looks "frozen" when she performs. Thinking that "Type Dangerous" sounds dated and too "2005," a third user wrote: "She looked stiff and uncomfortable on stage."

Shortly before her performance, Mariah Carey updated her Instagram with the above photo. Looking incredible in a loose-fitting, braless top and tight pleather jeans, the pop sensation posed surrounded by super-hunky, shirtless male models, but once again, her fans were out to criticize her.

A staggering 55,000+ fans agreed when one user asked Mariah: "What is going on?" Not far behind, with over 23,000 likes, was the comment reading: "Um, girl, delete this. We not tryna send the wrong message."

Elsewhere, users mocked Mariah Carey by asking if her latest track was an adult career debut, with one fan saying that the "adult video" energy wasn't for them. Mariah was also mocked by getting told that her music video was a "good scene."

The singer does not appear to have responded to the backlash. Her post gained over 400,000 likes, including one from socialite Paris Hilton.
