Scooter Braun is confessing how his failed marriage had him on the edge!
The former music manager detailed his chaotic experiences dealing with the mental load of separating from Yael Cohen, his wife of seven years.
Scooter Braun and Yael Cohen tied the knot in 2014 after dating for about a year. The wedding ceremony was held in Columbia, Canada, at his in-laws' house, and they welcomed three children together.
Scooter Braun Became Suicidal After His Marriage Crashed

Braun opened up about the struggles he faced during his turbulent marriage to Cohen, revealing that it nearly broke him. On Steven Bartlett's podcast "The Diary of a CEO," he candidly shared that he battled suicidal thoughts in 2020, feeling overwhelmed by the idea of missing time with his children.
Despite appearing to lead a successful life, managing superstar artists like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, Braun felt the weight of his crumbling marriage and career.
He described the breakdown as a harsh reality check, as everything he had built, his seemingly perfect marriage, successful career, and polished reputation in the industry, came crashing down.
After seven years of marriage and the birth of their three children, Jagger, Levi, and Hart, Braun and Cohen officially divorced in 2021, with the process finalized in 2022. However, hitting rock bottom turned out to be a pivotal moment for him, as he now claims to be in a happier place than ever.

According to Page Six, sources close to the estranged couple in 2021 confirmed that the manager has been experiencing difficulties in his relationship with the activist.
As a result of the friction in their marriage, the couple reportedly opted to take a break from their marriage. Despite ongoing rumors in the music industry about a potential divorce at the time, insiders revealed that there were no plans for a split.
According to a source close to them, the couple remained friends and lived together at the time. They also painted a united front on Instagram when the manager shared a wedding photo to commemorate their anniversary on July 6, 2021.

Braun's Reaction To Taylor Swift's Party Snub

Last year, the CEO humorously poked fun at himself, expressing mock surprise over not receiving an invitation to a glamorous birthday party hosted by Swift for Blake Lively's 37th birthday.
As reported by The Blast, there is a history of tension between Swift and Braun, which began in 2019 when the singer publicly criticized him for purchasing her music masters and allegedly violating her trust.
Reacting to Swift's high-profile birthday party for her friend, he shared his thoughts on Instagram, playfully questioning, "How was I not invited to this?!?" and added the hashtag "laughalittle."
Braun's perspective seemed to have been influenced by his recent viewing of the HBO Max documentary titled "Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood," as he shared the poster for it on his Instagram Story, indicating he had finally watched it.
In a 2022 interview, he expressed regret over the fallout stemming from his acquisition of Big Machine Records, which included Swift's music catalog. He explained that after the deal was finalized, he expected artists to be open to conversations about working together, but was met with chaos instead.
His biggest regret, he admitted, was assuming that everyone would understand his intentions and character after the business deal was made.

In June 2024, Braun made headlines when he announced his resignation from the industry, sharing his decision in a detailed Instagram post. He emphasized the need for a new chapter in his life, primarily focusing on his family after 23 years in management.
Although his career faced challenges following his controversial dealings with Swift, who vehemently opposed his acquisition of her masters and re-recorded her first six albums, branding them "Taylor's Version," he did not mention her as a factor in his departure.
Braun expressed that the sacrifices he once made for his career were no longer justifiable, as he wanted to be present for his children. In his words:
"I came to the realization that my kids were 3 superstars I wasn't willing to lose. The sacrifices I was once willing to make I could no longer justify. It was time to step into a new role."
Braun then announced that he was stepping into a new role as CEO of HYBE-America at the time of the post.
Scooter Braun's 'Happy' Taylor Swift Repossessed Her Masters

The father-of-three recently expressed his happiness for Swift following the news that she has regained the rights to her entire music catalog. In a very brief statement, as shared by The Blast, he acknowledged the significance of this milestone for her, saying, "I am happy for her."
Following the news, speculations emerged that he played a major role in getting the "Blank Space" singer back her masters. A source, however, debunked the report, asserting that the suggestions that Braun played a role in encouraging Shamrock Capital's deal with Swift were unfounded.
The insider emphasized that the credit for the acquisition belonged solely to Shamrock Capital and Swift's Nashville management team. "Taylor now owns all of her music, and this moment finally happened in spite of Scooter Braun, not because of him," the source emphasized.
Great to see Scooter Braun in a better mental space!
