Parker Posey’s turn as Victoria Ratliff in "The White Lotus" Season 3 had viewers glued to their screens and laughing all the way to the meme bank.
The iconic indie brought to life the hilariously over-the-top Victoria Ratliff, a wealthy wife and mother of three with a sharp tongue, dramatic flair, and a South Carolina drawl that instantly cemented her status as a fan favorite.
Parker Posey recently opened up about the viral response to her scene-stealing performance and admitted she saw it coming.
Parker Posey Knew Her 'White Lotus' Role Would Go Viral

“I wasn’t surprised because the lines were so funny,” Posey told Page Six exclusively at the Gotham Television Awards. “I was so happy that people were imitating me. People are having fun imitating me and I’m very, very happy.”
Despite not being on social media herself, the "Best in Show" star knew she was delivering “a meme performance” from the get-go.
And she wasn’t wrong. Lines like “I don’t even have my Lorazepam. I’m going to have to drink myself to sleep” and “I just don’t think at this age I’m meant to live an uncomfortable life” have exploded across the internet, now plastered on everything from mugs to T-shirts and tote bags.
Her quotable one-liners quickly made her the breakout star of the season, delivering the kind of internet gold that defines modern television fandom.
Parker Posey Accepts Legend Tribute Award With Flair

The "You’ve Got Mail" actress was honored at the Gotham Television Awards with the first-ever Legend Tribute Award. She was introduced by "White Lotus" co-stars Sam Rockwell and Leslie Bibb and delivered a characteristically eccentric and heartfelt acceptance speech.
“Let’s keep the arts alive,” Posey shouted from the stage. “Let’s turn this business into entertainment that everyone can love. That old people and young people, and even babies laugh at!”
She also gave a special thank you to "White Lotus" creator Mike White for trusting her with the role. “Thank you, Mike White, for writing this character for me, for believing in a middle-aged woman, and believing in a legend. Thank you, HBO, for believing in a legend!”
And in true Parker Posey fashion, she ended the night with a tongue-in-cheek retirement tease. “I’m done,” she joked to Page Six. “I was going to announce my retirement on stage tonight but I forgot!”

Posey’s Victoria Ratliff delivered some of the most memorable one-liners of the season, dripping with sarcasm, wit, and chaotic elegance.
In Episode 2, “Special Treatments,” she didn’t hold back, declaring, “Actresses are all basically prostitutes… If they’re lucky. Am I right?” and later adding, “You should have taken my lorazepam. I slept like a corpse.”
By Episode 3, “The Meaning of Dreams,” she was calling out high society’s hypocrisy with lines like, “Just because people are rich doesn’t mean they’re not trashy.”
Episode 5, “Full-Moon Party,” gave fans an array of gems, including her viral, “I don’t even have my lorazepam. I’m going to have to drink myself to sleep.” She also warned, “They are sex cults, Piper… you could end up a concubine to some weird guru,” and questioned her daughter’s choices with, “You want to live in Taiwan?!”
By Episode 6, “Denials,” Victoria’s flair for melodrama peaked as she declared, “I just don't think at this age I'm meant to live an uncomfortable life,” followed by the sharp-tongued jab, “What’s next? You want her to shave her head and start banging a bongo in Times Square?”
And in Episode 7, “Killer Instincts,” Posey capped off the season with biting remarks like, “Why are you with this middle-aged weirdo?” and the hilarious, “I'm praying for Piper to be miserable in that temple tonight.”
With lines like these, it’s no wonder Posey’s performance has become meme gold and pop culture legend.
Parker Posey Wants 'Friends' Star Lisa Kudrow To Join 'The White Lotus' Season 4

Posey is already playing casting director for the HBO series’ next season, and she’s got a beloved former co-star in mind.
During a recent episode of Variety's Actors on Actors series, Posey pitched none other than "Friends" alum Lisa Kudrow for a role in the highly anticipated season 4. The pair, who previously worked together, sparked fan excitement with their on-screen reunion and playful back-and-forth about potentially joining forces again, this time in Mike White’s hit anthology series.
“Would you enter the 'White Lotus' world?” Posey asked Kudrow during their sit-down.
“Work with Mike White? Yes. I love Mike White,” Kudrow responded without hesitation. “I’ve hung out with him at a party.”
That’s when Posey made her pitch crystal clear. “Oh, Lisa, you should be in Season 4," she said. "If there’s a big enough TikTok campaign, then it’ll happen.”
Could Lisa Kudrow Join 'The White Lotus' Season 4?

While HBO has confirmed "The White Lotus" will return for a fourth season, details surrounding the cast and setting remain tightly under wraps.
With Kudrow’s iconic comedic chops and White’s track record for reinventing stars in surprising, sharp roles, fans are already rallying behind the idea of seeing Phoebe Buffay herself step into "The White Lotus" universe.
As Posey teased, a little social media buzz might just be enough to make it happen.
