How Hugh Jackman And Deborra-Lee Furness Divided Their NYC Property

Jackman and his estranged wife Furness discreetly shared their $23 million NYC property a few days before she officially filed to end their marriage.
According to People Magazine, property records show that an LLC linked to Furness paid $11.7 million to the LLC the couple used to purchase the stunning penthouse together in 2022 for a reported $21 million.
The property is now worth a reported $23 million, indicating that the amount Furness paid was to buy the "Logan" actor's half of the property.
According to the news outlet, the document revealed that the transaction took place on May 25, two days before Furness filed to end their marriage after 27 years together.
The luxury condo is situated in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood and boasts nearly 5,000 square feet spread across two floors, with an extra 3,700 square feet of outdoor space.
The Former Couple's Divorce Process Had No Drama

Jackman and Furness initially delayed in filing to end their marriage, with reports suggesting the absence of a prenup threatened to drag them into "messy" divorce proceedings.
However, their divorce is said to have been an "uncontested" and peaceful one, especially as they reached a consensual agreement in the split of their vast real estate empire, which includes luxury properties across the United States, England, and Australia.
The exes' real estate portfolio includes multimillion-dollar penthouses, a Hamptons estate, and a Bondi Beach retreat. They also have a sleek London penthouse, which they bought for $21.25 million in 2022.
According to the Daily Mail, the "Wolverine" star reportedly got to take ownership of their Bondi home.
Deborra-Lee Furness Gave A Statement On Their Divorce, Citing 'Betrayal'

Following the dissolution of their marriage, Furness seemingly took a swipe at her ex-husband amid rumors suggesting he cheated on her with his new girlfriend, Sutton Foster.
Jackman and Foster reportedly grew close while co-starring in the 2022 Broadway revival of "The Music Man," but insiders have alleged their relationship was Hollywood's worst-kept secret.
"My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal," she said, per the Daily Mail. "It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us."
She continued, "This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose."
The Actress Noted That The Separation Brought Her 'Liberation And Freedom'

Continuing her statement, Furness noted that the divorce "hurt" her, but that, "in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values, and boundaries is liberation and freedom.
Furness shared that the one thing she has learned is that "none of this is personal," and that "We are all on our individual journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random."
"We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons and to recognize and heal the broken parts of ourselves...I remain grateful," she concluded.
Hugh Jackman Is 'Moving On With His Life'

A source close to the "Deadpool Vs Wolverine" actor recently gave an update on the actor's outlook following the dissolution of their marriage and Furness's "betrayal" statement.
According to Fox News, Gus Warland, who has been Jackman's best friend since they attended kindergarten together in 1973, appeared on Australian radio show "Ben Fordham Live," where he alluded to how the past year was "difficult" for the former couple.
"It's not just that statement, but just the last couple of years have been difficult," Warland said.
"No one wants anyone to go through what they've been through, and, of course, they go through everything publicly because of the type of people and the fame that they have," he continued.
Commenting on how the actor is doing, Warland said: "I was over in New York with Jacko just last month and he's fine. He is going along well. He's moving on with his life, and I hope that Deb does as well."
"It's a long, long time that they were together, and they've got two beautiful kids together, so I just go to the kids and go, what can we do to make sure that they're going to get through this as well as possible," he added.
