JoJo Siwa Says 'Celebrity Big Brother' Was The Best Decision Of Her Life

JoJo Siwa is finally opening up about her time on "Celebrity Big Brother," and she has zero regrets.

Despite warnings from her team to steer clear of the reality TV show, the former child star followed her gut, and she's calling it the best decision of her life.

From intense moments of self-discovery to budding romance and dramatic house tensions, Siwa's experience inside the house has completely changed her perspective, both personally and professionally.

JoJo Siwa had an exclusive chat with PEOPLE Magazine at the Epic Universe Celestial Carpet Opening Celebration event in Orlando, where she talked about her decision to be on "CBB."

During the interview, the 22-year-old revealed that she faced skepticism from everyone on her team before entering the house.

"It's funny because going into the experience, nobody on my team wanted me to do it," Siwa said, adding, "and everyone tried to discourage me from doing it."

However, despite not getting a go-ahead from her team, Siwa said she went against their wishes and followed her gut, noting, "But for some reason, I was really set on doing it."

The singer recalled her last conversation with her mom before entering the "CBB" house.

"Right before I went in, the last thing I told my mom is, I said, 'Mom, I think this is going to be the best thing I've ever done in my life.' And I wasn't speaking about my career, I was speaking about my life, and I think I was accurate on that," Siwa explained.

Seemingly, her conviction proved accurate. Siwa told the outlet she had been happy and in a great place since being on the show and leaving the house.

"I said to somebody the other day, 'I don't think humans are meant to feel this happy,' and that somebody was like, 'No. I think you are actually,' and that's... Yeah. It's good happy," she shared.

Siwa's time on the show featured many moments that sparked conversations online.

However, one of the most talked-about aspects of her "CBB" journey was her connection with "Love Island" alum Chris Hughes.

Initially described as a soulmate friendship, their bond deepened over time, igniting dating rumors.

However, after the show ended, Siwa debunked the speculations, calling their relationship platonic.

"He's a gorgeous boy … Look, he's a great guy. It is platonic, we have a lot of fun together," she said at the time. "Life is life, and I don't know any future of anything. But, I'm really grateful for our dynamic that we have in our bond that we have, and whatever life does, life will do," she said on the U.K. show "This Morning."

Although Jojo Siwa claimed her and Hughes's relationship was platonic, social media posts and pictures proved otherwise.

A recent photo shared by The Sun showed the pair kissing at a pool during Siwa's 22nd birthday celebration with her family in Mexico.

A source also confirmed that Siwa and Hughes were a couple, adding that they spend quality time at the adult-only hotel.

"They spent their time at the hotel holding hands and looked like a giddy couple in the early throes of love. It was nice to see," they said.

"They were very hands-on - not entirely different to how they were on TV, just a bit more intimate. JoJo seemed totally relaxed, really in love, and not in any way the JoJo we see when she's on stage. They're just totally comfortable around each other," the insider added.

Siwa and Hughes seemingly went public with their relationship on Instagram on Thursday after she shared romantic photos from her Mexico getaway. She described the trip as magical, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, calling it a week she'll cherish for the rest of her life.

A few days ago, the Australian podcaster took to TikTok to discuss their split, hinting that Hughes was the reason they parted ways.

In the emotional video, Ebbs accused the "Dance Moms" star of emotional cheating due to her closeness to Hughes throughout the show.

Despite seeing Siwa holding hands and cuddling her colleague on TV, Ebbs said she still flew across the world to support her, only to be "dumped at the after party with Chris in the next room."

However, Siwa denied the accusations, noting that she never cheated and Hughes wasn't the reason for their breakup.
