Kathy Griffin is concerned about the well-being of the LGBTQ+ community under Donald Trump's administration.
The comedian recently shared her worries with reporters, imploring members of the community to prioritize their safety and become more politically active against the president's alleged gay agenda.
Kathy Griffin is no stranger to throwing shots at Donald Trump, infamously known for posing with a bloody replica of the politician's severed head. Nonetheless, her concerns follow reports of ceased funding for medical research about LGBTQ+ members' health.
Kathy Griffin Believes Donald Trump Is Out To Get Gay People

The paparazzi caught up with Griffin outside the famous West Hollywood restaurant WeHo Bistro on Wednesday, May 21, asking what message she had for the LGBTQ+ community ahead of Pride Month in June.
The comedian noted that as a longtime ally of gay and trans people, she hoped they would pay attention politically. Griffin stressed that the community should march in the streets daily, fighting for their rights.
She expressed concern about the dire state of the LGBTQ+ community's treatment as United States citizens, noting she feared a day when they would not be able to walk down the streets safely.
"So please protest, protest, protest daily. Don't stop. This administration will stop at nothing to try to take down the LGBTQ+ community," Griffin declared in the video shared by TMZ.
Her comments follow reports of Trump and his administration stopping funding for medical research linked to the LGBTQ+ community.
The POTUS Reportedly Terminates Over $800 Million Worth Of Research

According to The New York Times, Trump's administration has significantly impacted medical research aimed at helping members of the LGBTQ+ community.
The outlet shared its findings from an analysis of federal data, claiming the POTUS had destroyed over $800 million worth of research by canceling several grants. The National Institutes of Health reportedly terminated 669 grants completely or partly in early May.
At least 323 of these grants were related to the LGBTQ+ community, including research institutions like Johns Hopkins and Columbia. Public universities were not spared, with Ohio State University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham getting their grants scrapped.
Florida State University lost $41 million worth of research despite investigating the prevention of HIV in adolescents and young adults in the United States. However, the NIH justified some of the grant cuts for LGBTQ+ research by noting their efforts no longer aligned with the agency's priorities.
Griffin Butted Heads With An Alleged 'Creeper' Over Trump

Two months before sharing her concerns about the LGBTQ+ community's safety, Griffin reached out to fans for their help in tracking down an alleged "creeper." On March 21, she shared a picture of an unidentified man wearing a green shirt and black trousers on her Instagram page.
His baseball hat hid the man's face, and he appeared to be checking the pictures on his camera when Griffin took the shot. She explained the post's caption that the unknown male had been harassing her on her daily walks on the Dume in Malibu.
"He approaches me with his camera and asks me only questions about Trump and tells me that he can 'get Donald Trump to watch the video' of me.He then gets in his pickup and follows me on my walk for a while," Griffin shared.
She noted the man stopped getting as close as he used to once she started bringing her large watchdog.
The Comedian Implored Fans For Help

Although Griffin's dog kept the man at a safe distance, it did not stop him from harassing her. She stressed that she shared his picture in a plea for help, asking fans if anyone could identify him. Her message sparked an outpouring of support from many, who seemed eager to track the man down.
Some asked Griffin to take a picture of the man's license plate, while others noted she might need the services of a private detective or better muscle than a dog. One fan advised the entertainer to share her findings on TikTok, claiming internet sleuths would work their magic.
More commenters believed the right decision was to file a police report, while others implored Griffin to stay safe and avoid the man as much as possible. A few people dropped more violent options, telling the comedian to get a gun, taser, or pepper spray for her protection.
Kathy Griffin Looked Unrecognizable Recently On Her Walk

Two months after the alleged "creeper" drama, Griffin sparked concerns about her health after looking unrecognizable while walking in Malibu. The Daily Mail shared pictures from the entertainer's stroll, capturing her looking incredibly pale with an almost gray tint on her skin.
Griffin's signature red hair flowed untamed behind her, unlike her usual well-kept appearance. Other images showcased a receding hairline and a possible hair condition, as she had a bald spot.
Despite looking a little worse for wear, the comedian appeared in high spirits as she strolled while chatting with another woman. Many suspected that Griffin's multiple health battles, including a hysterectomy in early April to treat a pre-cancerous condition, had taken a toll on her health.
From a failed LASIK surgery that partially blinded one of her eyes to complications from liposuction that nearly killed her and mental health struggles, the media personality's medical history was quite colorful.
Despite her health battles, Kathy Griffin remains a strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. However, are her concerns about Donald Trump's administration valid?
