While speaking with E! News at the Webby Awards in New York City, Crawford, who hosts the "Relationsh-t" podcast, addressed whether she and Schulman have spoken since she left the series in October 2024.

“We [have] not,” she said, explaining that she's still "in contact" with many people from the docuseries. "The Catfishes included," she added, stating she's "very, very happy."

She further shared that she currently feels "amazing" about her life and even thanked "Catfish" for providing her with an incomparable experience.

"I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I'm so proud of everything that we did on the show. But I'm really excited to start producing my own projects and put my name behind my projects as more than just a host," she said.

“I think six years in any job is a really long time,” she said. “A lot of people don't stay in certain roles for that long. And so, I think it was just time for me to spread my wings, and I'm really excited to be doing that.”

Crawford, 32, shared a similar sentiment in a previous interview and assured her fans that she felt fulfilled during her time on the show.

“People moved around all the time, and it was my time. I had done what I needed to do. I felt very confident about that," she said. "And I’m so happy with everything that we’ve done with the show, and I just felt like for me, I did my part. I left my mark and I was ready to do my own thing.”

Crawford also touched on her seemingly strained relationship with Schulman, whom she first met in 2018 on the set of "Catfish."

According to her, it's "OK" that they haven't spoken, adding, “Life goes on, and everyone moves in their own direction, and I wish him nothing but the best. And I wish myself nothing but the best."

She continued, "People leave jobs all the time, and sometimes their coworkers are in their wedding, and sometimes they never see them again. And that’s OK. It happens.”

“I've been very, very vocal on the show about how I feel about just finding love in general,” she added. “I think people find love in weird places. I don't judge. I try to just listen and hear people out. So I feel like my work there is done.”

In April, she shared the exciting news with her Instagram followers, writing, "Trying to keep it cool in my Uber, but I just found out MY PODCAST WON A WEBBY AWARD OMG?!!!"

As Crawford celebrates her professional milestones, Schulman has also navigated significant personal events.

In 2024, the father of one had a near-fatal accident after colliding with a truck while he was biking to pick up his son from school.

He shared an update on Instagram shortly after, writing, "Life can change in an instant."

“I never made it to pick up my son from school on the bike. I’m glad I didn’t. I was alone on impact. [just] me and the truck. And then, I guess the pavement. I was alone and unconscious. And then, conscious."

Schulman was treated at a New York hospital for his broken neck.

"Stable fractures. I’m not paralyzed,” Schulman explained in his post. “My hands were a question mark there for a minute, but the human body is incredible, and so are humans.”
