Taylor Swift's Home Caught In The Mix Of An Unsettling Discovery That Has Sparked Serial Killer Fears

Taylor Swift may have cause for concern as human remains were discovered close to her Rhode Island home, prompting an investigation by local authorities.

Locals are already speculating that a serial killer may be on the loose, although authorities have said they don't believe that's the case.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift seemingly has a lot on her plate already as she's been dragged deeply into close pal Blake Lively's legal battle with actor Justin Baldoni.

A grisly discovery near the sprawling Rhode Island mansion of Taylor Swift has prompted an active investigation by local authorities.

According to WJAR, authorities discovered a human leg bone in Westerly on Wednesday around 9:30 am near Everett Avenue, which isn't far from Swift's famed Holiday House.

A local who saw police and medical examiners on site told the news outlet that a leg bone was discovered, and that "finding a leg is very suspicious." The bone was subsequently sent off to the Rhode Island Medical Examiner's Office for further investigation.

The news has sparked shock and concern among residents as the area is generally considered to be free from crime, much less murder.

"I'm more aware of my surroundings. I don't go [to] places that are kind of dim or where I could be alone. Just trying to stay out in public and be vigilant," a local identified as Taylor Day said.

Speculations are rife concerning what could possibly have caused a human leg to be discovered in such a manner. According to the news outlet, residents are already suggesting a serial killer could be on the loose, although cops say that's most likely not the case.

"My mind immediately went to all the theories that are being thrown around," Day told WJAR, referring to the rumors suggesting there's a New England serial killer on the rampage as 13 sets of remains have been found in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts since March.

According to Fox News, five have been found in Connecticut and Massachusetts, while three have been found in Rhode Island, with police saying there's no connection between the bodies that have been found.

"From what I've seen or heard, first and foremost, not enough is being put out there, so we'll continue to create that serial killer idea," former FBI agent Scott Duffey told the news outlet.

The "Blank Space" hitmaker seemingly has a lot on her plate already as she's been dragged into the messy court battle between "It Ends With Us" costars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

Lively accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her on the set of the Colleen Hoover movie adaptation, but the actor denied it and filed a $400 million countersuit, where he accused her and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of trying to wrestle creative control of the film from him.

Baldoni also name-dropped Swift in his suit when he claimed Lively likened herself to "Game Of Thrones" character Khaleesi, and referred to Swift and Reynolds as her "dragons."

The "Bad Blood" singer has now been subpoenaed to answer questions related to the case.

Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, recently claimed in a letter that a member of Lively's legal team tried to extort Swift into releasing a statement of support for the actress.

"Michael Gottlieb of Willkie Farr, counsel for the Lively Defendants, contacted a Venable attorney who represents Ms. Swift and demanded that Ms. Swift release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature in Ms. Lively's possession would be released," Freedman claims in his letter.

However, in a statement shared with Variety, Gottlieb slammed the accusation as "categorically false" and "cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality."

The judge presiding over the lawsuit, Judge Lewis J. Liman, has since struck out the allegation from Baldoni's lawyer, branding it "irrelevant" and "improper."

Meanwhile, Swift is enjoying her time together with boyfriend Travis Kelce, who's preparing to return for the new season with the Kansas City Chiefs. The couple has reportedly been staying out of the spotlight and is both paying attention to their health and lifestyle.

"Taylor is an amazing cook, and she is really great at desserts. Travis doesn't have the most healthy diet in the world, but these days, while he might sneak in one of her pop tarts, it is not in excess," a source shared, per the Daily Mail.

They continued, "And it's the same when it comes to drinking. He isn't partying, he's getting ready for the season. If there are drinks nearby, he isn't going to stay away, but it is never a must-have with dinner or outings. Nor is he going out on his porch and throwing back a couple. If they get back to the promised land, then you'll see him partying."

The insider added that Swift and Kelce "are just both decompressing from that go-go-go style of life and enjoying days together with as little stress as possible."
