DDG’s mother, Tonya Granberry, has broken her silence following the court’s decision to grant Halle Bailey a temporary restraining order against her son, rapper and YouTuber DDG.

Social media is in a frenzy as DDG’s mom, Granberry, has responded to the accusations leveled against her son in a restraining order filed by Halle Bailey.

On May 13, the YouTube personality took to her Instagram Stories, calling the allegations a lie.

“I don’t usually comment or say anything on this internet even with all the negativity, the lies and hatred towards mine,” she said.

Granberry then noted that Bailey’s accusations against her made her realize she had been quiet for too long.

A few hours before the post, Granberry shared a meme, seemingly referring to the situation.

She posted a picture of Kermit the Frog on the phone at a phone booth, with the words “Hello Jesus, take the wheel” boldly written.

On May 13, 2025, a Los Angeles judge granted Bailey a temporary restraining order against DDG, citing multiple instances of alleged abuse.

According to court documents, Bailey accused DDG of physical assault during a January incident, where he allegedly pulled her hair and slammed her face into a steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth and bruises.

“I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer,” she said in the court documents, per PEOPLE Magazine.

Besides physical abuse, Bailey also alleged verbal abuse, noting that her ex would often call her “b-tch” and “evil” in front of their son. Additionally, she reported that whenever DDG wanted to upset her, he would badmouth her to millions of fans.

Bailey and DDG began dating in 2022 and ultimately split in 2024.

The streamer announced their breakup in a post on his Instagram Stories, revealing that it wasn’t an easy decision but the best path for both of them.

Following their split, the pair’s co-parenting relationship became tumultuous.

In November 2024, the “Little Mermaid” actress indirectly called out DDG for involving Halo in an online streaming episode with Kai Cenat.

Although Halo’s appearance excited fans and viewers, Bailey disapproved, especially as she claimed it was done without her consent.

Many hoped the co-parenting feud would only span a few weeks, but unfortunately, it continued for months.

In March 2025, DDG accused Bailey of preventing him from seeing their son.

During one of his livestreams, the rapper said he wasn’t a fan of airing personal matters online, but he was left with no choice as Bailey allegedly frustrated his attempts at being a dad.

He said, per Complex, "I just want to be able to see my son when I want to see my son, take my son when I want to take my son. Like, I don't care if this makes me look childish, if I look like I'm on the internet crazy, whatever – I don't care, bro. I don't care what nobody thinks. I literally just want to be in my son's life."

DDG also clarified that he wasn’t a “deadbeat,” adding that there needed to be “repercussions” for his inability to see Halo.
