Jeff Bezos And Lauren Sanchez's Wedding Details Raise Eyebrows Over Unusual Venue

Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos have reportedly chosen an unusual venue to have their wedding of the century.

According to reports, the soon-to-be couple met in an open-air theater somewhere in Venice, the city they chose for the nuptials.

Previously, it was reported that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez had hired megastars Elton John and Lady Gaga to serenade them and their guests at the wedding.

Sanchez and Bezos seemingly do not have plans to walk down the aisle in a church.

While it is known that the duo would be having their nuptials in Venice, it reportedly won't be at any of the churches in the city.

Rather, Sanchez and Bezos are said to have picked a theater at an undisclosed location in the city to host the 200 guests they have invited.

"The word is that they have booked the theater, which has been restored," a source told The U.S. Sun. "It's not your usual venue for a wedding; it would be iconic."

They added, "Everyone is talking about the wedding, and it's going to be a huge celebration."

According to the outlet, the venue has already blocked out dates for two weeks in June, including the days around June 24 and 26, when Sanchez and Bezos are expected to get married. It's also said that the place can be reached by water, giving guests a quieter, more private way to arrive.

Beyond the unconventional choice for the wedding location, the soon-to-be couple has also set the standard for future high-profile weddings by reportedly hiring Lady Gaga and Elton John.

The duo is said to have paid a premium price to have the Grammy winners perform in Venice for the exclusive nuptials, with reports claiming Sanchez was the one who pushed for their appearance.

"Lauren wanted some big talent to sing for them, and it just doesn't get any bigger than Gaga and Elton," a source told the Daily Mail.

They continued, "It also helps that Gaga and Elton are good friends and were happy to do it together, which is cool. It will be like a mini vacation for the besties."

The insider also hinted at what the performance will entail, saying that both stars will sing "several well-known tunes" from their extensive catalogs. Additionally, they might perform a duet together to further entertain the couple and their guests.

Regarding where Sanchez and Bezos will stay while in Venice, a source previously revealed that the duo booked the Grand Canal Suite at the five-star Aman Venice.

Interestingly, this suite is noted as the biggest in the high-profile hotel and will cost the duo a whopping $11,600 per night.

"[It is] the biggest they have, and it's the talk of the hotel," a source told The Sun. "The room is spectacular and even has access to a rooftop terrace overlooking the city.

Other expected guests, including reality stars, the Kardashians, have reportedly also booked suites in the hotel due to its exclusivity.

"The wedding is set to be a huge affair and the Kardashians are also said to be staying at the hotel, along with other high-profile guests," the source added. "It's a spectacular palazzo that's the most exclusive hotel in Venice."

It was previously confirmed that the luxurious Aman Venice has been fully booked for the dates believed to coincide with the upcoming wedding festivities.

Similarly, the legendary Gritti Palace, another elite hotel in Venice, has also seen a full reservation of rooms by several invited guests.

In addition to these two, three more of Venice's most prestigious hotels have had their rooms reserved as the anticipated wedding date draws near, according to The U.S. Sun.

These accommodations are reportedly set to host high-profile guests such as Oprah Winfrey, Eva Longoria, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Orlando Bloom, along with his fiancée, Katy Perry, who are some of the rumored invitees to the lavish celebration.

For weeks, online buzz has been building around Jeff Bezos's upcoming nuptials, where he's set to tie the knot with his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez.

According to new reports, the buzz surrounding the wedding is even more intense in Venice, where the ceremony is expected to take place, although the exact date has yet to be revealed.

"People are almost hysterical with excitement – from water taxis to the hotel concierges," a local source revealed to the Daily Mail's Alison Boshoff.
