Florence Pugh Exposing Chest While Braless Doesn't Look 'Comfortable'

Florence Pugh flew the flag for confidence last fall, but she was only met with shaming remarks. In September 2024, the Oppenheimer actress braved a totally sheer bodysuit, posing from an outdoor space as she fronted Vogue. Reminding fans of her fame and fashion icon status, Florence left little to the imagination in a chest-exposing one-piece, flaunting her curves in a sheer dress worn over her revealing bodysuit. The photo, shared on Florence's Instagram and beyond, garnered some praise, but many chose to bully the actress. Florence has made endless headlines for freeing the nipple, even going as far as defending her sheer dress in 2022, when she attended the Valentino Haute Couture Show.

Flashing her chest in a high-neck, gauze dress covering a bodysuit, the Hollywood star displayed her cleavage and hourglass waistline, placing one hand on the nearby tree trunk and another on her thigh. Going belted as she accentuated her waist, Florence added a Van Cleef & Arpels watch, completing her stylish look with a pair of strappy taupe heels.

Rocking a light manicure that added some pop, Florence wore her hair a little shaggy, swiping the 2020 hairstyle donned by singer Miley Cyrus while sporting a full face of makeup. Her shoot also included high-end looks from brands including Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana.

The image quickly made The Daily Mail's headlines. Here, users lashed out at Florence in the comments, calling her "desperate" and basically telling her to cover up. "Why, just why would you pose like that?" one user asked. Over 200 others agreed. A further user called her outfit "ridiculous," with one fan saying that Florence never "looks comfortable."

The shaming just continued. While one fan told Florence Pugh to put them "away," another responded:

"Just no. Florence you are a role model for some of our younger ladies and then you dress like this." A few fans, however, supported the Valentino ambassador. "Nothing wrong with the female nipple. We all have them. She’s very brave and well done to her for addressing equality," one said. Florence didn't go see-through in the above look, but she upped the ante in other ways by going hell for leather in a skintight dress with side cut-outs.

Florence Pugh once again opted for black during this public appearance, this time ditching her edgy vibes for a sweetheart feel.

Rocking a lightweight sundress with ruffled puff sleeves, she went slightly sheer below the bust, adding lacy embellishments, plus a chest string tie.
