Kathy Griffin's 'Frail' Appearance During Malibu Hike Sparks Health Worries After Hysterectomy

Kathy Griffin was recently spotted enjoying a hike in her Malibu neighborhood after undergoing a hysterectomy to treat a pre-cancerous condition.

However, it seems the condition has taken a toll on her health as she appeared "frail" and "pale," with her hair also looking like it had a scalp condition or bald spot.

This outing comes after Kathy Griffin took to Instagram to ask for help with identifying a "creeper" who's been "harassing" her on her daily walks about Donald Trump.

Griffin looked unrecognizable when she was spotted hiking in her Malibu neighborhood. The 64-year-old actress wore dark leggings, an ash top with sneakers, and carried a cross bag as she strolled along the scenic hills with a female companion.

According to the Daily Mail, Griffin's signature bright red hair fell loose around her shoulders, and her hairline appeared to be receding, with a scalp condition or bald spot also taking form. The outspoken Trump critic has previously opened up about several health conditions she battled, including a binge-eating disorder she experienced as a teen.

Griffin has also talked about a long string of cosmetic procedures, ranging from a breast augmentation, nose job, and lip tattoo to a botched LASIK surgery in 2003 that partially blinded one of her eyes and complications from a 1999 liposuction that nearly killed her.

Griffin's latest outing comes after she underwent a hysterectomy in early April when she found herself at risk of having cancer.

At the time, the "My Life on the D-list" star took to Instagram to share her story, while joking about how her nurse was confused by tariffs.

"Happy Monday! I had a hysterectomy on Friday, that's right, they took out the uterus, the fallopian tubes & the ovaries," Griffin wrote on Instagram. "Pre-cancerous, blah blah blah. I'm going to do a @patreon post later about my private 'nurse' (who possibly…got her scrubs online)."

She continued, "I sent her home because she also thinks that 'tariffs' are 'terrorists.' So she kept saying stuff like 'I don't like Trump anymore because the price of eggs is going up and now he's adding terrorists!'"

In the caption of the post, Griffin wrote, "Not to be an a-hole, but how do I NOT have a reality show to capture all of this??? I mean, you can't write it. It's too real."

Back in 2022, Griffin was hospitalized to undergo a 20-minute surgery on her vocal cords after a long battle with lung cancer affected her speech.

In an emotional video she shared with fans at the time, the Emmy winner noted that she would do "anything to get my voice back," months after detailing how the condition required half of her left lungs to be removed.

"Good morning. Yes, I'm feeling sorry for myself, and I'll tell you why. 'Because I'm on my way to the hospital again, because I have to go into general to get another procedure on my vocal cords," she shared, per the Daily Mail.

Griffin continued, "So the good news is I get to go home today. But the last time I got this done, it hurt for like seven days. But I'm just being a baby."

The TV star then told fans that she wanted their "pity." She declared, "Hell yeah, I'll take it, I'll take your pity. I'll take your feelings of sorry. I love it. Bring it."

Griffin previously admitted in an interview with Page Six that her divorce from estranged husband Randy Bick has been challenging for her.

"The divorce is what's kicking my a-s mentally," she shared. "I thought I was going to be with this guy forever. I'm heartbroken, I admit it."

She added, "I just didn't think I'd be alone at this stage of the game, but hey, that's on me. And I guess I obviously have [to take] full responsibility."

Griffin and Bick began dating in 2011 but split up for the first time in 2018. They eventually made up in 2019 and married on New Year's Day the following year.

However, the Emmy winner filed for divorce from Bick in December 2023, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split.

Despite her heartbreak, she told the news outlet, "I know it's cliché. I wish him the best. I hope he meets somebody else. He just wasn't the right guy for me. But he'll be good for somebody else."

Regarding her morning walks, Griffin once took to Instagram to ask for help in identifying a man she claims had been stalking and "harassing" her about Donald Trump.

She posted a picture of the man at the time, writing, "This #creeper has been harassing me on my daily walks on the Dume in Malibu. I know it's a very local reference, but if you know, you know. It's not a 'celebrity' spot. He approaches me with his camera and asks me only questions about Trump and tells me that he can 'get Donald Trump to watch the video' of them."

Griffin added that the mystery man gets in a pick-up and starts following her as she goes on her walk.

"I've started bringing my large watchdog with me so he did not get as close to me this time," Griffin said.

"I wish I had a better picture for you guys. Can anybody identify this character? Please let me know. I never know when he is going to show up. I have never seen him photographing anyone else," she added.

While Griffin has yet to give an update on the "creeper" situation, fans of the comedian showed her support while advising her on the best ways to protect herself.
