Angus Cloud's mother, Lisa Cloud, is not backing down in the legal battle over her late son's estate.

Nearly two years after his tragic passing, she has once again fired back at Jonathan Kim, a man who claimed he was owed $310,000 for work as Angus's assistant. Lisa had dismissed the lawsuit as "frivolous" in 2024 and labeled the demand as nothing more than extortion.

Angus Cloud died in July 2023 at just 25 years old, and his estate has faced several creditor claims since.

Lisa moved to wrap up her late son's estate, asking the court to close the case after shutting down a major legal claim filed by a man who said he was owed hundreds of thousands of dollars.

In new court documents, she stated that Jonathan Kim, who alleged he worked as Angus's personal assistant and was owed $310,000, failed to show up for his own deposition and faced issues with his legal team.

She noted that his lawyer attempted to withdraw from the case due to an "irreconcilable breakdown" in their relationship. As reported by In Touch, Lisa called Jonathan's lawsuit "completely unfounded and without merit," and noted that the case had been tossed out in October 2024 without prejudice.

Lisa also asked the court to officially close the estate, citing the resolution of all pending matters. She requested that $44,000 be paid to her attorneys for their work and that the remaining funds go to her as the estate's beneficiary.

In 2024, Lisa asked the court to throw out Jonathan's complaint, firmly denying that any professional relationship ever existed between her son and the plaintiff. The legal filing portrayed Jonathan's actions as a calculated attempt to pressure the Cloud family into a payout.

Lisa's legal team argued that anything she did or did not do related to Jonathan's accusations was entirely within her rights, and that his own behavior undermined any shot at recovering the damages he claimed. They accused him of trying to game the legal system after failing to win in probate court, writing,

Jonathan has launched a series of legal attacks over unpaid wages, demanding thousands from what he called promises. The Blast reported that Jonathan claimed Angus verbally "promised to compensate" him $5,000 per month but never received a cent during nearly two years of service.

Based on what he described as a breach of their oral agreement, Jonathan sued for $115,000 in damages, arguing he took a financial hit from the unpaid work.

He detailed in his lawsuit that his responsibilities included "performing administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, arranging travel, running errands, and providing personal support."

The scope of the work, he argued, went far beyond basic assistance. Before filing the civil case, he had reportedly already tried to get the money through probate court but walked away empty-handed.

Jonathan did not just claim back pay; he also went after a six-figure slice of the late 25-year-old's brand deal earnings. Court documents obtained by the outlet revealed that the ex-staffer alleged Angus never paid him for nearly two years of work, leaving him short $310,000.

That figure included unpaid wages and a 10% cut from Angus's major endorsement deals. Jonathan said he was entitled to roughly $195,000 in commissions from partnerships with top brands like Ralph Lauren, Fila, Reebok, Marc Jacobs, and Ray-Ban.

He also submitted documentation of payments received, including specific deposits of $6,500 linked to those collaborations.
