For this year's edition of the Met Gala, singer Lizzo was among the few stars who looked almost unrecognizable compared to the previous year.
Having lost several pounds since the last event, the singer arrived in a dazzling outfit that channeled what many might describe as her inner Cruella de Vil, a nod to the iconic villain from "101 Dalmatians."
Her ensemble featured a striking black-and-white color scheme, with the white side standing out thanks to a dramatic feathered train. The outfit also hugged her slimmer figure perfectly and included a plunging neckline that showcased her ample cleavage.
For her hair, Lizzo styled her platinum-blonde locks into voluminous curls that framed both sides of her face. She then opted for a makeup that beautifully complemented her skin tone while finishing the look with glossy purple lipstick.
To complete the transformation, she accessorized with a long black cigarette holder and exaggerated black-and-white fingernails that added a bold, theatrical touch.

Prior to her arrival at the Met Gala, Lizzo shared a video of herself from a photoshoot on her Instagram page.
In the clip, she struck stylish poses in her outfit while holding the cigarette holder, staring intensely into the camera with confidence and flair.
She captioned the post, "Met… here I come," a clear sign of how excited she was to attend the iconic event once again.
In the comment section of the post, many fans hyped Lizzo's looks with one-word praises like "DEVOURED," "Ate," "Stunnnerrrr," and "SPEECHLESS." Singer SZA also chipped in with hers, "MURDAAAA."
One other user commented, "Cruella Deville in the best way possible," while another remarked," Every time she shows up and shows off."
"No bells. No whistles. Just that silhouette doing the most," someone else commented.
"This hair and makeup is EVERYTHING, but the dress is also stunning," one more person remarked.
Lizzo Reveals Why She Now Uses The Term' Weight Release'

Last month, Lizzo revealed why she prefers to use the term "weight release" instead of "weight loss."
She explained that it started during a conversation with her boyfriend, Mike Wright, where she spoke to him about how she had shed some weight.
"My man, he's so funny," said the singer during her appearance on the "On Purpose With Jay Shetty" podcast. "He was the one that brought it to my attention at first. Because at first I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I lost five pounds' and he was like, 'Where did it go?'"
"I was mad at him, I was like, 'Why would he say that?' but he was like, 'Where did it go?"'
The singer went on to talk about being "very intentional" about her words due to her influence on her audience.
"There's young people who are watching me and they're experiencing what I'm putting into the world," she said. "They're applying it to their own experience and their own life just like I did when I was a kid."
The Singer Has Been Hit With Criticism Amid Her Weight Loss Journey

Amid her weight loss journey, Lizzo has faced criticism, including remarks that claim it has to do with her avoiding the drama of her past.
"By getting skinny and redefining who she is, even the way she acts and dresses, she feels like she is now emerging as this new person and that the drama of her past won't follow her," an insider told the Daily Mail.
The comment was in reference to the scandal that hit Lizzo in 2023 after several of her former employees filed a lawsuit against her, making sexual harassment allegations against her, which she has since denied.
Lizzo Was Called A 'Sell-Out'

Some have also criticized the singer for being a "sell-out" after spending much of her career talking about body positivity.
"She spent her whole career talking about how big is beautiful and telling women to be proud of their bodies," the source shared.
They added, "To those who knew her for a long time, all she is doing is becoming exactly what she spent the past decade saying she would never be."
