Blake Lively found herself at the center of controversy during the TIME100 Gala after Megyn Kelly publicly criticized her over the ongoing feud with Justin Baldoni.
Both women were part of the individuals who made the publication's elite list of Most Influential People. However, when Kelly walked the red carpet at the event, she expressed outrage over Lively's inclusion on the list.
She claimed that Blake Lively's accusations against her "It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni had "bastardized" the Me Too movement and that her TIME100 honor was a PR stunt by the publication.

Blake Lively found herself being heavily criticized by Megyn Kelly during the recent TIME100 Gala over her ongoing sexual harassment suit against Justin Baldoni.
Walking the red carpet, Kelly, who was also listed in the publication's elite list like Lively, voiced her opinion on the mother of four and her legal drama.
The journalist stated that it was a "ridiculous joke" that the actress received the honor, adding that she "shouldn't be here."
Kelly also suggested that the accusations Lively made in the sexual harassment suit filed against her "It Ends With Us" co-star were false and have unraveled since the case was filed in December.
Megyn Kelly Claims The Actress 'Bastardized' The #MeToo Movement

The media personality further alluded that Lively's actions had "bastardized' the efforts of the #MeToo movement, a campaign focused on raising awareness about sexual harassment and abuse in the workplace.
"I think [Blake has] launched a fake Me Too allegation against [Justin], and she's lived to regret doing it, because virtually every allegation she has made has fallen apart," the journalist told the Daily Mail.
She added, "So for her to be honored for doing that, to try to ruin a man over absolutely nothing, is a scandal."
The Journalist Said TIME Honored Blake Lively For PR Reasons

Continuing her scathing criticism of Lively, Kelly claimed that TIME only named Lively for "very wrong" PR reasons.
She went on to emphasize the importance of people calling out claims like Lively's that aren't legitimate, regardless of the efforts of the actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds' "very powerful PR people and lawyers."
"Otherwise, no one who has actually experienced these things is going to be believed,' the political commentator further remarked.
In another part of the conversation, Kelly asserted that she didn't mind running into Lively and her husband at the event but believed the actress would likely try to "avoid" her for obvious reasons.
Blake Lively Alluded To The Ongoing Legal Battle During Her Speech

When Lively was handed the mic at the event to give a speech, she hinted at her ongoing legal feud against Baldoni.
The 37-year-old said it felt "surreal and deeply significant" to be an honoree in a "time where the most valuable currency seems to be anger, it feels like an act of defiance to commune and celebrate all the good that is alive in the world."
"I have so much to say about the last two years of my life, but tonight is not the forum," the actress said, per People Magazine, seemingly referencing the period of the production of "It Ends with Us," the movie she co-starred in with Justin Baldoni.
Lively then noted that she preferred to focus on "the feeling of being a woman who has a voice today" before launching into several minutes of speech, during which she mentioned an assault her mother had suffered at the hands of a "work acquaintance."
All About Blake Lively And Justin Baldoni's Feud

Since the legal battle began, Lively and Baldoni have been engaged in a heated media back-and-forth. This led to the judge warning their legal teams about their conduct and threatening to push forward the trial.
Amid the drama, Lively's husband filed a motion to have Baldoni's $400 million counter-defamation suit dismissed. The actress also filed her own motion to dismiss the film director's suit, claiming it was a retaliatory move against her sexual harassment claim.
In a twist to the feud, Baldoni accused his former publicist, Stephanie Jones, of leaking texts to Lively, which the actress later used as key evidence in her sexual harassment lawsuit.
He has also recently filed 14 new claims against her, including violations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, breach of contract, defamation, and fraud.
Baldoni is set to go against Livelin in court for the sexual harassment suit in March 2026.
