Denise Richards is not enjoying the career success she envisioned when launching her own reality TV show.

The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum has reportedly landed herself in a financial crisis following the subpar performance of her program, "Denise Richards & Her Wild Things." A source claimed the show's underwhelming ratings have left the TV personality in quite a pickle.

The insider alleged Denise Richards has been struggling to keep herself afloat in recent years, hence her high hopes for her reality TV show saving the day. She previously joined OnlyFans to boost her finances, but she desperately needs a miracle to end her money woes.

The source spilled the tea about Richards' alleged problems, claiming she was "desperate" and needed a Hail Mary to save her from financial crisis. She initially expected her new show to be her saving grace, but it did worse than she hoped.

"Denise had very high hopes for this show. She genuinely thought people would tune in because there has always been so much interest in her private life and her dynamic with Charlie [Sheen] and their daughters," the source explained, adding:

"She really can't understand why the viewers haven't flocked to the show. She really thought it was going to be a slam dunk."

According to In Touch, "Denise Richards & Her Wild Things" fell short compared to Bravo's other shows. As the network's eighth most-watched show, it could not be compared to other programs like the Real Housewives franchise and "RHOBH" alum Lisa Vanderpump's successful series "Vanderpump Rules."

Inside The Reality TV Star's Financial Troubles

Richards' high hopes for her reality TV show stemmed from her financial troubles, which began in 2021. At the time, the court ruled against her and ended her ex-husband Charlie Sheen's child support payments for their two daughters, Sami and Lola.

The former James Bond actress was reportedly "blindsided" by the ruling because her children had not turned 18. However, she moved to improve her finances by joining OnlyFans in 2022. A different source echoed similar sentiments about Richards' efforts to fix her money problems, saying:

"The only reason she's doing the reality show is the same reason she's doing her OnlyFans — she needs the money."

The source claimed Richards' time on "RHOBH" was motivated by the same need for money, adding: "She never in a million years thought Charlie would file to stop paying child support, and she was blindsided when the court ruled against her."

Richards Is Desperate For Viewership

Richards' show premiered on March 4 but didn't live up to its hype. The program has faced declining viewership with each subsequent episode, unlike other Bravo projects. The outcome sparked the entertainer's panic to gain more viewers.

"The bigger issue is that she signed on to this because she and Aaron need the money and, with reality TV, the big bucks doesn't start coming until the second, or even third season," the first source explained.

"She needs this to be a hit if she's going to cash in to the level she and Aaron need. She's desperately trying to drum up more publicity to try and get viewers to tune in. But unless something changes, this is going to be a complete flop," they claimed.

The 'RHOBH' Alum Is Facing Backlash From Her Former Co-Stars

The first source noted that Richards' problems increased with criticisms from her former Housewives over her underwhelming show ratings. "It's all blown up in her face, and she's having to deal with Brooke Mueller going around complaining she hasn't been paid," the insider claimed.

"It's extremely embarrassing because she knows there are plenty of people rooting for her to fail," they continued. "Her old Housewives enemies are being very petty and taking a lot of joy in her low ratings, which, of course, is tough to swallow."

Richards and some of her former co-stars frequently clashed during her time on the Bravo series.

The Blast covered part of the drama, reporting the entertainer left the show in 2020 amid tensions with Lisa Rinna and Brandi Glanville. She returned for the show's 13th season only to clash with Dorit Kemsley over her upside-down jacket.

The Other Housewives Did Not Like Denise Richards

Besides the highlighted trio, Richards wasn't a favorite among the Housewives for various reasons. Her former co-stars once accused her of "mom-shaming" after she expressed discomfort about bringing her daughters around the group following the incident at her Malibu home.

At the time, Richards expressed displeasure over her fellow Housewives discussing threesomes at her family's barbecue event. However, the other co-stars found her anger hypocritical, given her season 9 confession about an explicit outing with her daughter.

During the episode, Richards revealed she took her daughter Phypers for a happy-ending massage. She has also been accused of insulting other Housewives behind their backs and having an extramarital affair with Glanville. However, Richards vehemently denied the claims.
