Kevin Costner's Dating Life Continues To Oscillate With Mystery Woman Amid Ex-Wife's Engagement

Kevin Costner stepped out with a mystery woman in Los Angeles this week, fueling fresh buzz about his love life just months after his ex-wife's headline-making engagement.

The outing followed reports earlier this year that the actor did not particularly take the news of his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner's engagement to his former friend, Josh Connor, well.

Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner were married for nearly two decades before filing for divorce in May 2023. 

Costner turned heads in Los Angeles on Monday when he was seen grabbing lunch with a mystery woman, marking another chapter in his ever-evolving dating life.

The actor kept things low-key, stepping out in a relaxed beige sweater and gray jeans, topped off with black shades and reading glasses clipped to his zip.

The woman seen with Costner wore high-waisted jeans, a black cardigan, and open-toed sandals, carrying a large khaki backpack. Costner has been navigating life as a single man since his 2023 divorce from Baumgartner. 

Page Six notes that the 70-year-old has been linked to singer Jewel since the split, though he denied anything serious last summer. Despite the speculation, he made it clear he was open to love again, which may be back on the horizon now.

Not long after being seen grabbing lunch with a mystery woman in Los Angeles, this sighting comes on the heels of another notable outing in December. 

Costner was previously seen with Jennifer Lopez at Aspen's hotspot Kemo Sabe. The two were photographed at the celebrity-loved store, where Costner kept it cool in a black puffer jacket and shades, chatting with other shoppers.

Lopez, a known fan of Costner's hit series "Yellowstone," looked relaxed and cheerful in a turtleneck and top-knot bun as she sipped a drink and laughed during the shopping trip.

While Costner may be exploring his dating life, his ex-wife is not shy about flaunting her newfound happiness and her stunning new engagement ring. 

In March, The Blast reported that Baumgartner proudly showed off her $50,000 diamond ring, which she reportedly received after her engagement to financier Josh Connor on January 26 in Santa Barbara.

The dazzling ring, a five-carat square-cut diamond set in platinum, caught the attention of a Los Angeles-based jeweler, who noted, "Assuming it's not a lab-grown diamond, I would estimate it to be worth about fifty thousand dollars."

The massive rock reportedly refracted light from far away, stealing the show in photos taken. In one of them, the ring was visible as Baumgartner adjusted her cap while out with her daughter, Grace. 

Costner was reportedly taken aback by the news of his ex-wife getting engaged to Connor, his former friend. The Blast noted that an insider alleged that Costner felt betrayed, even though some of their close friends expected the couple's engagement.

The father-of-seven reportedly heard about the engagement, not from Baumgartner but through his children, which left him feeling "sucker-punched."

A source close to Costner shared, "He said he would have preferred to have heard it straight from Christine, but either way, it still feels like a betrayal even after all this time."

Adding to the awkward timing, Costner had just celebrated his birthday, and the engagement news came days after.

Despite his personal challenges, Costner has reportedly been focusing his time on his children and career. The screenwriter announced his TV series, "Yellowstone to Yosemite with Kevin Costner," which was set to premiere on February 8.

A source close to Costner disclosed, " Kevin will do what he always does and that's focus on his kids and his work," adding that his dog Bobby has also played a big role in bringing him and his children joy during this time.

The insider also noted that he was gearing up for the release of "Horizon 2" at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, with a docuseries and music projects in the pipeline.

Whether friendship or just speed dating, Kevin Costner's post-divorce chapter looks far from quiet.
