Christie Brinkley shares more about her life and thoughts about the beauty industry ahead of her new memoir's debut.  

The supermodel, well known for dominating the fashion and non-fashion industries with her beauty, recently discussed why age is just a number to her. The media personality did not hold back, even sharing details about her cosmetic procedures.

Christie Brinkley's latest confessions come over a month after a source shed light on the significance of her upcoming memoir "Uptown Girl." The tell-all book promises to be a deep dive into the model's life, career, and love life, including her infamous divorce from her fourth husband, Peter Cook.

Brinkley got vulnerable in a recent interview, revealing people once warned her about the impacts of age. As a model, some believed her fame would decrease after a certain age. However, Brinkley wasn't about to let a number stop her from living her best life.

"I was literally told you will be chewed up and spit out by 30," Brinkley recalled, noting she decided to prove critics wrong by climbing a mountain on the morning of her 30th birthday. She recounted the exhilarating moment with joy, saying:

"I stood at the top, thinking I've never felt better in my life. And that's when I decided to kiss the numbers goodbye because I wasn't going to let them define me."

Brinkley's confidence remains after over two decades of dominating the fashion and non-fashion industries. At 71, she continues to defy the limits of age, but at the same time, she embraces the beauty of it. She told PEOPLE she doesn't "try to get rid of every wrinkle."

As a media personality, Brinkley's face is frequently in front of cameras.However, she chooses not to commit to feature-altering cosmetic procedures and rocks her natural looks with a bit of help from her doctor.

"I mainly do lasers…I've dabbled with fillers, and I go to my doctor in the city. I don't want to look 'done' or anything. I just did Fraxel [a skin resurfacing treatment] because I had skin cancer, and that helps get rid of pre-cancerous cells. It's mainly about health for me now," Brinkley confessed.

The model noted the beauty industry has changed positively over the years, applauding the inclusion of older women. "The most beautiful thing that's happened in our industry of beauty is the expansion of what we consider beautiful. And it includes us 'seasoned' gals," she raved.

Brinkley Applauds The Beauty Industry's Efforts To Include Mature Women

Brinkley described age as "the last frontier," noting there were more older women on runways and magazine covers. However, she stressed that the current inclusion of women in their prime was not enough.

Despite desiring more inclusiveness for older women, she acknowledged the beauty industry's part in catering to the needs of mature skin. She recalled her return to CoverGirl in 2005, noting the cosmetics company had asked her to promote new products.

"It was specifically [for products] with light reflecting things that get inside the wrinkle and reflect out so it blurs," Brinkley explained. "I'm not saying that you can't have wrinkles — but it's a little less is more."

Brinkley's recent comments come over a month after a source addressed the importance of her new memoir, "Uptown Girl."The Blast reported the story, noting the source claimed the model would face her past, including her darkest moments in the book.

"Christie has been religiously keeping a journal since she first started her modeling career, writing about all her travels and romances and all the wonderful, and not so wonderful, moments in her life," the insider explained.

They claimed she chose her 70s as the best time to share her life story, adding: "Her goal with this book isn't revenge. She's sharing her life story and philosophy with the hope that she can inspire readers to make the most of their lives."

Although the source noted Brinkley's book wasn't a revenge story, they stressed that it didn't stop her from covering some of the most painful moments in her life and naming those who broke her heart. The list included her fourth husband, Peter Cook.

Brinkley and Cook tied the knot in 1996 before divorcing over a decade later in 2008. At the time, the model discovered his affair with his then-19-year-old assistant, Diana Bianchi. The source noted she covered this emotional incident in her memoir, saying:

"Of course, there are certain people who have done her wrong over the years that are going to get blasted, namely her ex-husband Peter [Cook], who really put her through hell. She's still furious at the way he tried to destroy her, and she doesn't hold back in this book."
