Angel Reese is proving her doubters wrong.

After sparking controversy in 2024 when she jokingly revealed that her WNBA salary doesn't pay her bills, the Chicago Sky star just shared a major announcement with her followers.

On April 15, 2025, Angel Reese said she was "so blessed" after revealing a huge purchase.

In her Instagram Stories, Reese shared that she's officially become a homeowner "all at 22."

The picture shows the Bayou Barbie, who recently became an Unrivaled 3x3 champ, smiling while standing inside the kitchen of her new pad. She can also be seen holding a massive key.

In the caption, she told her followers that she was "so blessed."

She didn't stop there, though. The walking double-double also reminded her supporters that she paid off her mother's mortgage a few months prior, too.

"Knocked off 2 BIG things off my vision board in the first four months of the new year!" she noted.

On X, formerly Twitter, Reese responded to a fan account that praised the baller for her accomplishment.

"They said, 'She needs to cover up,' so I [posed for the cover of] VOGUE," she wrote. "They said, 'She can't afford her rent,' so I went [and] bought a house. thank yaaa."

Angel Reese Used To Pay Nearly $100,000 A Year In Rent

In November 2024, Reese made headlines when she opened up about money and revealed that her WNBA salary didn't pay her bills. According to SportRac, Reese's rookie contract was worth $73,439.

"I just hope y'all know, the WNBA don't pay my bills at all," Reese shared. "I don't even think it pays one of my bills, literally."

She went on to reveal that the rent for her Chicago apartment was about $8,000 per month, meaning she was spending close to $100,000 a year. After doing the math, Reese joked that she was "living beyond my means."

Angel Reese Paid Off Her Mother's Mortgage

During an episode of her "Unapologetically Angel" podcast, Reese surprised her mother for her birthday by paying off her mortgage. However, that wasn't all. The LSU alum also told her mother, also named Angel Reese, that she wouldn't need to work anymore if she didn't want to.

Reese has always had positive things to say about her mother, who also played college and professional basketball. In the past, Reese has praised her mom for being "independent" and taking care of her and her younger brother, Julian Reese, on her own.

According to Reese, her mom "molded her" into the woman she is today.

Reese's Deals Didn't Stop After College

Ahead of her rookie season with the Sky, Reese opened up about how excited she was to continue developing her brand while in the league.

The Maryland native has secured lucrative deals with global brands like Beats by Dre, Reebok, Cash App, Reese's, and the international fast-food franchise McDonald's.

"The deals don't just stop in college," Reese said. "When you go to the pros, they continue, and I feel like they've grown even more. Now that I'm a pro, I can do so much more."

During her first season in the WNBA, Reese shared that her signature shoe with Reebok would be released in 2026. In the past, she reflected on why she signed with that brand's basketball department, which former LSU player and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal oversees.

"One, they didn't have a women's basketball player [who was the] face. So, I wanted to be that," she said. "[And two], they're letting me be the creator behind everything that I want to do. I'm bringing Reebok back."

Reese's Life Changed After Defeating Caitlin Clark

During the 2025 March Madness competition, Reese looked back on the moment she and the LSU Tigers won their national championship game against Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

"D-mn," she wrote. "I won a natty [two] years ago today [and] it changed my life forever."

In that game, Reese played 29 minutes, scoring 15 points and securing 10 rebounds. She also had five assists, three steals, and one block.

Her college skills certainly followed her to the W, as she finished the season as the league's leading rebounder. She also became the first rookie in the league's history to secure a double-double during the All-Star game.
