Machine Gun Kelly made his return to the spotlight on Friday night with a surprise Coachella appearance, marking his first public outing since becoming a father again.
The 34-year-old performer joined Three 6 Mafia during their high-energy set on night one of the festival’s opening weekend, just weeks after welcoming a baby girl with ex-fiancée Megan Fox.
Machine Gun Kelly hit the stage in a bold ensemble, complete with a baseball cap layered over a bandanna and a set of bedazzled gloves, bounding across the stage with signature intensity.

He wasn’t the only surprise guest during the set.
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker also joined the group, sporting a T-shirt that read: “F-ck Off W-nkers” and coordinating with Kelly in a similar cap-over-bandanna combo.
Barker’s appearance comes just months after welcoming his own child, 17-month-old Rocky Thirteen, with wife Kourtney Kardashian.
MGK Welcomes Newborn Baby With Megan Fox

Kelly’s Coachella cameo comes amid ongoing headlines about his complicated relationship with Fox.
The former couple, who split last November after she reportedly discovered messages between Kelly and other women, announced the birth of their daughter last month. While they’ve kept details, including the baby’s name, private, sources close to Fox say she has no plans to rekindle the relationship.
“The last few months alone have been difficult for her,” a source told People. “'At this point, she plans on co-parenting with Colson, but that's it. She won't be getting back together with him.'”
The insider added that the "Jennifer's Body" star is currently “doing great and over the moon about her baby girl.”
Megan Fox Feels 'Renewed' After Welcoming Baby

Motherhood seems to be bringing out a whole new light in Megan Fox.
According to Us Weekly, the 38-year-old actress has entered a “renewed and refreshed” chapter in her life following the recent birth of her daughter. “Megan has really leaned into motherhood again,” a source told the outlet. “She loved when her kids were little and has missed that phase. She feels renewed and refreshed.”
Friends close to Fox have reportedly noticed a dramatic change in her energy since the baby’s arrival. “Friends haven’t seen her this happy in years,” the source shared. “She’s glowing.”
MGK Is Embracing Fatherhood

The transformation hasn’t been limited to Fox.
Those close to the pair say Machine Gun Kelly is embracing fatherhood in a meaningful way. “The baby is already wrapped around his finger,” the insider revealed, adding that “Megan has noticed his energy is different, the look in his eyes is different, his aura has changed. She feels the baby is exactly what he needed, and she is hoping it sticks.”
Despite the positive changes, Fox is reportedly keeping her guard up. Her “biggest worry” remains that Kelly “will change again and be the guy she doesn’t know.”
Still, those close to the situation say Kelly has stepped up in a big way, both as a father and a partner in parenting.
“[He’s] making sure they are taken care of, doting on them, being present,” the source added. “It’s changed [Fox’s] mind a little bit about him and if there can be a future for them together.”
Machine Gun Kelly Mocks Satirical Headline Regarding His Relationship With Megan Fox

Fox, who also shares sons Noah Shannon, 12, Bodhi Ransom, 11, and Journey River, 8, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, is reportedly focused solely on motherhood. Kelly, born Colson Baker, also has a teenage daughter, Casie Colson Baker, born in 2009 with his ex, Emma Cannon.
Despite the breakup, the artist appears to be taking co-parenting in stride, and with a sense of humor. On Tuesday, Kelly shared a screenshot to his Instagram Stories of a satirical headline from The Onion, which read, “Megan Fox Confirms She and New Baby Will Co-Parent Machine Gun Kelly.”
His response? Three “crying with laughter” emojis.
The cheeky post follows reports that the two are committed to raising their daughter together, even as they remain on separate romantic paths.
With a Coachella crowd at his feet and a newborn waiting at home, Machine Gun Kelly’s newest chapter is already off to an unpredictable, but very on-brand, start.
