Griffin Reveals She Is Lung Cancer-Free

In December 2021, the comedian appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and shared the good news that she was cancer-free after a successful surgery.

Griffin was in her best element during her time on the show and even joked about having lung cancer.

She said, "I had surgery. You're not going to believe this. So I've never smoked, but I got lung cancer. In August, I had half of my left lung removed. I'm not even kidding."

Griffin also revealed that an intubation tube affecting her vocal cords had temporarily altered her voice.

She quipped, "So now I'm like Minnie Mouse meets Marilyn Monroe. It will heal, but I'm sort of enjoying it. I'm a good two octaves higher, I think. It's higher than Mariah Carey, I know that."

Kimmel asked Griffin if the doctors were able to get all of the lung cancer out, and she confirmed that it was "fully removed."

In January, Griffin finalized her divorce from Randy Bick, just over a year after filing in December 2023 due to irreconcilable differences.

The couple, who married on January 1, 2020, after nine years of dating, honored their 2019 prenuptial agreement in the settlement.

Griffin agreed to pay Bick a lump sum of $75,000, covering his legal fees and living expenses.

Despite requesting spousal support in March 2024, Bick later waived that right.

Their official separation date was listed as December 28, 2023.
