Stadium Swim at Circa Resort & Casino in Downtown Las Vegasisn't just a place to watch a sporting event. It's also where sports fans can enjoy a Vegas-style pool party with a massive 143-foot screen, multiple pools, DJs spinning tunes, cocktails, and of course, some desert sun to get a glowing tan.

Whether it's March Madness, football Sunday, or a big fight, Stadium Swim offers an experience like no other all year round.

On Friday, April 4, Stadium Swim held their inaugural Crown Town Fan Fest, which was a big success. Mike Palm, Circa's Vice President of Operations, gave The Blast an exclusive look into the first-time event and shared more about what visitors can expect from a visit to Stadium Swim.

Circa Resort & Casino held a slam dunk inaugural event on Friday, just ahead of the College Basketball Crown's semifinals and championship games.

The Crown Town Fan Fest was held at Stadium Swim and offered basketball fans a fun way to spend their Friday watching sporting events on the massive screens, soaking in some sun, and enjoy a swim.

The all-day pool party brought fans, tournament organizers, conference commissioners and more together for some Vegas style fun. With a DJ spinning tunes, each of the multiple massive screens showing sporting events, and the cocktails flowing, it was an event unlike any other.

Circa Plans To Make This An Annual Event

"This is the fan appreciation event for the Crown Basketball Tournament. This is the first time the tournament has been held," Palm told The Blast exclusively.

"So the format was 16 teams, playing this week between the elite 8 and the championship game, so four games Monday, four games Tuesday, two Wednesday, two Thursday, with Friday off. That’s why the sponsors were hosting this fan fest today here. We have conference representatives from all the schools that were in it, and the fan bases that are still here. We did a promotion that anyone wearing the gear of anyone of the 16 teams got in for free today. Both of the owners' suites were reserved to entertain for the event.”

As a founding partner, Circa was named the Official Host Hotel of College Basketball Crown Referees. As this was a first-time event, Palm said they are already making plans for year two.

“This is the initial year, the public is just getting introduced to it," he said. "And we’ll make it bigger and better next year.”

While Stadium Swim calls to the sports lover because of the massive screens, they truly offer an experience for people who aren't sports fans, as well. And it's something locals and visitors can enjoy no matter what season it is.

"It's a combination of the DJ, day drinking, and pools," Palm said. "All six pools have the ability to be heated so we're the only major pool in Las Vegas that stays open year-round. Most of them are Memorial Day through Labor Day."

And while many people might not feel winter is the best time to soak in an outdoor pool, the fun doesn't stop at Stadium Swim when the temperature begins to dip.

“In the winter, we convert this into winter swim which is basically Dec. 1 through Feb. 1 and we try to make it almost like a ski resort up here with heated robes and heated pools," Palm said. "People may think a pool is not a place to go in the winter in Las Vegas, but I would encourage them to try it out one time.”

Stadium Swim is the place to be to watch your favorite sporting events, games, and more.

“I think it’s the greatest outdoor sports viewing venue with this screen," Palm told The Blast. "On Saturdays and Sundays in the fall, we’re full for football. We do four concerts a year here, as well.”

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., Stadium Swim offers many different options to customize your experience. Fans can choose to do general admission and not have a specific assigned area, or they can choose from 32 regular sized cabanas, two super cabanas, poolside boxes and more.

And for the fan who loves to gamble and do some sports betting, they don't even have to leave the pool area to do that at Stadium Swim. There is a table games pit and betting kiosks just steps away from all that fun in the sun.

Some might wonder what sets Vegas apart from other places in regard to watching sporting events.

"I think it is unrivaled in terms of room product, in terms of other entertainment, nightlife and the food, so it’s world class in all those categories," Palm shared.
