The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum Teddi Mellencamp has revealed she has stage 4 cancer.

However, she has fought bravely and continues to inspire many people with her strength and will to live despite the odds.
Teddi Mellencamp Receives Heartbreaking News

Mellencamp's battle with melanoma became even more difficult after she was told her melanoma had metastasized to her brain and lungs.
On March 26, she received another heartbreaking news after being told that four additional small tumors were found on her brain during an emergency MRI.
Despite her cancer becoming stage 4 and the disease's gloomy prognosis, Mellencamp remains upbeat and is not giving up the fight.
On April 2, she shared a video on her Instagram Stories and updated her fans on her health.
Mellencamp said per PEOPLE Magazine, "I woke up to so many kind messages. I just want to say thank you guys so much. So many messages about how strong I am."
She added, "And I gotta tell you, some days I feel really really strong and some days I feel really really sad and alone. And I think that's a normal part of what any of us are going through, and that's okay. Stage 4 cancer can be scary."

Mellencamp has always updated her fans about her battle with melanoma and shared more information about her recent setback and her treatment.
She said she underwent immunotherapy and radiation on the same day for the first time on Tuesday, April 1, and shared that she felt "so tired and run down" after the treatment. Despite the difficulties, Mellencamp is confident she will get better.
She also said, "I kinda thought I had already beaten it. And then a couple days later, I found out I had four more tumors. So there's so many different highs and lows."
As she rests and recovers from her treatment, Mellencamp has also "learned to listen" to her body while maintaining hope of a better future for her health.
She concluded, "I'm just thinking about all the goals that I have for the future for myself and for my kids."

Teddi Mellencamp Vows To 'Beat This' As She Slams A Fan's Comment

According to the American Cancer Society, stage 4 melanoma skin cancer is the most advanced phase of the disease and has a five-year survival rate of 35%.
A fan highlighted the slim chances of survival in their comment to one of Mellencamp's posts, writing, "This is so heartbreaking. Typically, stage four cancer is terminal especially with metastasis. Praying that Teddi heals and is an outlier."
Although the fan was trying to be helpful, Mellencamp didn't like the comment. She reposted it on her Instagram Stories and expressed her disapproval.
Mellencamp wrote, "These kind of comments make me really sad. I know people are trying to help but heart breaking for me to read."
She continued, "Of course I know the chances but I truly believe with my whole heart. I will beat this and watch my kids graduate. Vent on pod and have everyone get mad at me. Annoy my siblings by reminding everyone I am the favorite. Etc."
Mellencamp Says She Doesn't 'Want To Lie' To Her Kids Amid Cancer Battle

Amid her health struggles, Mellencamp announced she filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years, Edwin Arroyave, in November 2024.
The estranged couple shares three children: daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 5, and son Cruz, 10.
During a recent interview with Us Weekly, Mellencamp, who had a famed catchphrase, "Moms always come back," during her time on "RHOBH," admitted she hadn't said the phrase to her kids since returning from the hospital.
She said, "I have not said that line to them since I've been back [from the hospital]. They all know that I'm fighting the hardest I possibly can, but I haven't said [it] because I don't want to lie to them. And I don't know."
Mellencamp also said she and Arroyave have put their divorce on hold, adding that "he's been extremely kind and helping with the kids," which made things "a lot easier."
The mother of three also shared that she and Arroyave were in a good place and living under the same roof, saying, "I'm in the primary, and he's in one of the guest rooms. It's fun. It's all the things that I loved about our marriage but without all the problems."
