The "Snow White" controversy deepens as producer Marc Platt's son, Jonah Platt, defended his father's decision to confront Rachel Zegler over her political statements.
Jonah blamed Zegler for the film's poor box office performance and called the actress's actions immature.
This comes after a report claimed that co-star Gal Gadot received death threats after Rachel Zegler made pro-Palestine comments, prompting Disney to increase security.
'Snow White' Controversy Deepens as Producer's Son Criticizes Rachel Zegler

Jonah recently responded to an Instagram comment questioning his father's actions after reports surfaced that Marc traveled to New York to meet with Rachel Zegler over her controversial political statements.
The comment that enraged Jonah referenced a Variety report claiming Marc traveled to New York to address Zegler's pro-Palestine and anti-Trump views.
The user questioned, "Your dad flew to NYC to reprimand a young actress? Any words on this? Cuz that's creepy as hell and uncalled for. People have the right to free speech no? Shame on your father."
In response, Jonah fired back, defending his father amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Disney and Zegler's outspoken views.
Openly criticizing both the situation and Zegler, he shot back: "You really want to do this?"
He then defended his father's actions, explaining that "the producer of the enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to fly across the country to reprimand his 20-year-old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie for which she signed a multi-million dollar contract to get paid and do publicly for."
Jonah Platt Blames Rachel Zegler For 'Snow White's' Box Office Struggles

Jonah argued that Zegler's comments negatively impacted "Snow White's" box office, which, despite opening at No. 1, only earned $87 million worldwide, a disappointing return on its $270 million budget.
"Free speech does not mean you're allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment without repercussions," he wrote.
The actor continued, "Tens of thousands of people worked on that film, and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of the colleagues and crew and blue-collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful."
Jonah ended his statement bluntly: "Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged."
The Producer's Son's Comments Were Met With Heavy Backlash

Jonah's lengthy rant about Zegler has sparked mixed reactions, with some users dragging his family into the controversy.
"Had to leave his family' is a crazy thing to say about a 67-year-old billionaire with adult children," one person quipped.
Another joked, "Momma Platt holding 38-year-old Jonah and 31-year-old Ben in her arms: 'You're going to see HER again, aren't you, while I'm here raising our babies."
A third chimed in, "Jonah Platt is damn near 40 and popping veins over a girl born in 2001 in Instagram comments."
One more person noted, "Worry about your failed acting career instead of harassing young women."
Gal Gadot Allegedly Received Death Threats Amid 'Snow White' Controversy

According to Variety's report, Gal Gadot, 39, who portrays the Evil Queen in Disney's live-action "Snow White," faced a wave of death threats after Zegler publicly thanked fans for supporting the film while adding, "and always remember, free Palestine" on social media.
Gadot, an Israeli and former IDF soldier, was reportedly placed under increased security, with Disney footing the bill.
"She didn't understand the repercussions of her actions as far as what that meant for the film, for Gal, for anyone," a source shared with the publication.
Additionally, Disney reportedly hired a "social media guru" to monitor Zegler's posts ahead of "Snow White's" March 21 premiere.
While rumors of "tension" between Zegler and Gadot over their opposing views on the Gaza war have circulated for months, the publication reported that a different social media remark may have caused a deeper rift between the "Snow White" co-stars.
After their joint appearance at the Oscars on March 2, Zegler allegedly referred to Gadot as "a professional pageant queen" in an Instagram comment.
Insiders claim the remark was "considered a dismissive way to describe a fellow actress."
Rachel Zegler Left Out Gal Gadot In Her 'Snow White' Tribute

On Friday, March 21, Zegler shared an Instagram post reflecting on her "Snow White" experience, but Gadot was absent from the tribute noticeably.
Instead, she spotlighted production team members, including choreographers, camera operators, director Marc Webb, and co-stars Dujonna Gift and Andrew Burnap.
"It takes a village to bring stories like 'Snow White' to the big screen, and i loved this one so very much," Zegler wrote, emphasizing the collaborative effort behind the film. "Here's a little glimpse into this family I came to care for deeply."
She encouraged fans to see the cast and crew's work and "catch them all in action both in front of and behind the camera, in theaters now."
That same day, Zegler also posted a separate Instagram tribute to her publicists and stylists, thanking them for their support throughout the global press tour.
