Jennifer Lopez 'Ready To Date Again,' Eyes A 'Yellowstone' Cowboy Type

Nearly a year after her split from Ben Affleck, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez is reportedly open to love once more, and this time, she’s looking for someone with a little cowboy charm.

The 55-year-old singer, actress, and entrepreneur is said to be moving on with the next chapter of her life after filing for divorce from Affleck in August 2024.

According to court documents, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had separated earlier in April, finalizing their divorce at the start of 2025.

Per a source who spoke with Daily Mail, the "Unstoppable" star is hoping to fall in love again after taking time to “heal her broken heart” with the support of close friends and family.

“Jennifer wants to be in love again,” the insider revealed, noting that Lopez is drawn to a particular type this time around, someone reminiscent of Rip Wheeler of "Yellowstone."

“She had a crush on Rip Wheeler from 'Yellowstone' and wants a guy like that,” the source said. “Someone who can have her back and make sure she is OK. She wants to be put first and made to feel special.”

Lopez is said to admire the deep devotion Rip (played by Cole Hauser) shows toward his on-screen love, Beth Dutton. “Her life is a lot,” the source continued. “She needs a man who can handle all that and still love her unconditionally like the way Rip loves Beth Dutton.”

In a twist of Hollywood fate, Hauser is actually a longtime friend of Ben Affleck. The duo appeared together in 1997’s "Good Will Hunting." Hauser is currently mourning the death of his father, actor Wings Hauser, who passed away this week at age 77.

Despite the headlines surrounding her personal life, Lopez is charging full speed ahead with her career. She's currently filming "Office Romance" in New Jersey alongside "Ted Lasso" breakout Brett Goldstein and is set to headline the World Pride Music Festival in Washington, D.C. on June 6.

“Jennifer wants this summer to be amazing after a tough start to the year,” another source told the outlet.

She’s also looking forward to celebrating her 56th birthday on July 24 with her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme.

While Lopez enjoyed career highs in 2024, including a successful turn in Netflix’s "Atlas," she faced renewed scrutiny over her relationship history following the end of her marriage to Affleck. Critics were quick to rehash her past marriages to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony, and of course, Affleck, as well as her broken engagement to Alex Rodriguez.

But insiders say Lopez is determined to reclaim the narrative in 2025.

She’s also preparing for the release of "Kiss of the Spider Woman," a passion project she co-produced with Affleck. The film, an adaptation of the 1993 Broadway musical (based on the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig), received early praise at Sundance and features Lopez as Aurora, a glamorous fantasy figure imagined by a gay prisoner in 1980s Argentina.

Beyond the screen, Lopez continues to expand her lifestyle empire with new releases from her JLo Beauty line and her premium cocktail brand Delola.

“She will have a new product coming out for JLo Beauty,” a source shared. “She is excited about it. She loves working on her brands.”
