Taylor Swift May Finally Be Ready To Step Back Into The Spotlight

It didn’t take long for Taylor Swift to be back on top.
At the 2025 Grammys, the “Anti-Hero” singer had a sour start to the year when she was nominated for six awards and failed to win a single one.
If that wasn’t enough, her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, suffered a devastating loss at the Super Bowl.
The two took some time out of the spotlight to regroup and lick their wounds, but following the results of the iHeartRadio Music Awards last night, Swift might finally be ready to step back out into the spotlight.
Taylor Swift Won Big At The iHeartRadio Music Video Awards

Going into the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, the “Delicate” singer was up for ten nominations. Although she didn’t win all of them, she did score some points in some pretty major categories.
This time around, she wasn’t up for Song of the Year or Pop Song of the Year, but she did win Artist of the Year while losing out to Sabrina Carpenter in Pop Artist of the Year. Her “Fortnight” collaboration with Post Malone lost to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” in the category of Best Collaboration.
Swift Really Stood Out In The ‘Socially Voted Category’

Where the “Mirrorball” singer really shined was in the categories voted by fans. When it came to Favorite Surprise Guest on tour, Taylor Swift bringing out Travis Kelce on The Eras Tour was a clear winner.
Swift was even up against herself in the category of Favorite Tour Tradition. Ultimately, her gifting the “22” hat lost to her surprise song mash-up that she performed on tour each night.
The category for Best Lyrics really could have been a toss-up, but “Fortnight” somehow managed to win this one, beating out Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Morgan Wallen, Gracia Abrams, Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, and others.
Despite losing in the category for Best Collaboration, “Fortnight” also won for Best Music Video. Swift also won Favorite Tour Style, as well as Favorite On Screen for “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version).”
Taylor Swift Also Won Tour of the Century

If those accolades weren’t enough, Swift was also given the Tour of the Century award on the 2-year anniversary of the Eras tour opening night. Her record-breaking Eras Tour spanned five continents during its lengthy run, which lasted from March 2023 to December 2024.
Swift sported her usual bold red lip as she received the award via video, opting not to appear in person.
"I really can't tell you how much this means to me because this, on behalf of my tour mates, all my fellow performers, my band, everyone who toured with us, our crew... this is actually the two-year anniversary of the first show of the Eras Tour, so I've been doing a lot of processing since I've been off the road these last few months," Swift said in her virtual acceptance speech.
Swift Calls The Eras Tour ‘The Most Challenging Thing I’ve Ever Done’

"People often say that sometimes the greatest challenges in life end up being something you're so proud of or end up being the most gratifying feeling in the end, if you can rise to the occasion," she continued. "And this tour was absolutely the most challenging thing I've ever done in my life. It's a 3.5 hour show, more shows than I've ever done on tour."
She went on to say, "To the fans, you made these songs from the last couple decades into what they became so that we could do a 3.5 hour setlist. You had the passion and generosity to care about traveling to see us on tour in all these places all over the world. It blows my mind. I'm never going to stop being grateful for it. And I appreciate this more than you know."
The awards show then aired an exclusive performance of “Mirrorball” from the opening night of the Eras Tour, which took place in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023.
What This Means For Taylor Swift Going Forward

Last week, Swift and Kelce were spotted dining out in New York City, which has led some hopeful fans to believe that she is back in the studio. Swifties have been picking apart her outfits lately, with some swearing that the black shirt combined with her snake necklace was a nod to her next album.
So far, Swift has released re-recordings for all of her albums except for two: her debut album and Reputation, which was first released in November 2017.
Fortunately, it seems that Swifties won’t have to wait too long to hear new music. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was first released in April 2021, which was then followed by Red (Taylor’s Version) in November of that same year.
Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) was released in July 2023, followed by 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in October of that same year. Although The Tortured Poets Department was released in April 2024, it doesn’t seem to have affected her release schedule, as Midnights was also released in October 2022.
Will Taylor Swift Drop The Last Two Albums This Year?

If Swift is keeping with tradition, her last two re-recorded albums will be released this year in order to put her back on the top of the charts. The lackluster reception to The Tortured Poets Department and her recent Grammy losses show that fans aren’t going to keep throwing awards at her just because she is “the” Taylor Swift.
If anything, she is probably carefully revisiting her last two re-recorded albums to make sure they are as strong as – if not stronger – than the originals that put her on the map in the first place.
After all, her fans deserve that much.
