Kevin Hart has spoken out for the first time since he was rushed to the hospital after a car wreck, and the comedian says he has a whole new perspective on life.
Hart released a 2-minute video on Tuesday evening via Instagram that begins with a voiceover from the comedian.
Basically what you realize is you're not in control, Hart explains over text on the screen stating he was involved in an accident on September 1, and that "My world was forever changed."
The video then flashes to headlines and news reports of his car crash, which also involved two friends.
"When God talks you gotta listen," Hart says over video of himself in a hospital bed strapped up to machines. He's then shown trying to stand with the help of a walker.
"After my accident, I see things differently, I see life from a whole new perspective."
While speaking on how grateful he is for his family and friends, Hart lays on a table while receiving physical therapy, a scar on his back can be seen still healing after receiving surgery on multiple fractures to his spine.
He's also shown working out and walking without assistance, and it's clear Hart's determination and strength have helped him on the road to recovery.
The "Jumanji: The Next Level" star is seen showing his 14-year-old daughter, Heaven, off to her homecoming dance while wearing a body brace.
"I'm thankful for the people that ride with me ... that stood by me," Hart says.
The star is finally seen speaking to his doctor, who informs Hart that he will be recovering for at least a year.
He doesn't argue.
