The exciting thing is if they do use a surrogate, that's actually totally doable," an insider shares.

The pair hopes to conceive naturally for now, but they're keeping their options open. "Nothing is in the works yet, and for now, they're still hoping to do this naturally, but if not, they will turn to science for help," the source explains.

Kourtney might be embracing the idea of surrogacy, but it is not just because she has seen it work within her own family. Her experience with her youngest son, Rocky, and his health struggles may be playing a major role in her decision.

In 2023, concerns arose when she was hospitalized during her pregnancy. While the reason was initially kept private, a June 20, 2024, episode of "The Kardashians" shed light on the situation.

Kourtney revealed that Rocky had a rare medical condition that required emergency fetal surgery. "It is super rare: the condition that he had — but it is also super rare and lucky that we caught it," she shared. Even after the procedure, Rocky's health remained a concern.

"It feels like we kind of figured out a plan for now. We're going to move into his house, which is a block away, and then redo my house at the same time so that we can all be together, living together under one roof with the baby."
